Chapter 5

Calum told me to drive to his house. When we got to his house Calum gave me a tour and the last stop was his bedroom. I was surprised. There were band posters all over the wall. And they were all my favourite bands. I thought Calum was a nerd and a loser but he seems pretty cool.
"Your room is..."
"Not what you expected?"he questioned.
I laughed. "Do you play guitar?"
"Hah! Yeah...uhmm...I'm actually kind of in a band. But we suck."
"I'd love to hear you guys sometime!"
"Want to hear is now? I could call me friends and you could meet them too!"
"Yeah sure that's be great!"
Calum called his friends and a few minutes later they showed up. They were not what I was expecting either. They were all hot...
"Guys this is kaylee, kaylee this is Luke, Michael, and Ashton" Calum said as he pointed to each boy.
"Woah! Who are you? She's hot!" Said the boy with the coloured hair
"Oooo! Cal is this your girlfriend?" Said I think his name is Ashton.
"Uhmm..no guys this is uhh..."
"Friend.. His friend" I but in and smiled at Calum and he smiled back. I never saw this before but there was something about Calum that I really liked. He was so cool. And he's kind of cute if you really look at him. NO! Kaylee what are you saying you have a boyfriend.

"Kaylee wants to see us perform"
"Alright cool lets go!" Said Luke

We all went down to Calum's basement and I sat on the coach and watched them perform.

"This song is called gotta get out. I actually wrote this song." Said Calum
"Okay then Calum stop trying to impress kaylee" Michael said with a smirk

When they finished I was in absolute awe. They were amazing!! They were way better than Braedons band tbh.

"So what did you think??" Asked Calum

"I have no words to say. You guys were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!"

I got up and I ran towards Calum. I didn't know why but I just really wanted to hug him so I did. He was a little shocked but he hugged back. It felt good hugging him. He held me so tight I didn't want to let go. It felt right.

"You know my boyfriend is in a band. But tbh I think you guys are better." I laughed.

"You have a boyfriend?!?" They all yelled.
"Uhmm....yeaaahhh"
"NO CAL SHES TAKEN!!! WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO?!?!" Said Michael
"He can be with me!" Said Luke as he hugged Calum.

Calum looked somewhat sad. I didn't know why. But I didn't like seeing him like that. It's crazy how fast a person can feel for someone. Just last week I was yelling at him to not even look at me and now I'm sad that he's sad.

"Wait a minute...is your boyfriend the one that beat me up?!?!"
"Calum I....."
"HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE TOLD ME?!?!"
"I'm sorry!!"
"WHY ARE YOU DATING THAT JERK YOU DESERVE BETTER!"

I couldn't help but run out of there with tears rushing down my face. I don't know what I was crying for. I didn't know where to go so I just stood outside until Calum came.

"Hey. I'm sorry I yelled at you."
"I'm sorry my boyfriend beat you up. He can get a bit crazy at times."
"No kidding."
"This thing between us is still a secret though. From everyone."
"Thing?? We have a thing??" He smirked
I smiled and looked at the ground breaking our eye contact.
"You know....you're not what I expected Calum Hood."
"Did you expect to see comic books and space ships and video games??"
"Yes actually" I laughed.
"Well I actually do have all of those things too if you wanna see" he joked.
I punched his arm and laughed. I actually think we are becoming good friends and I quite like the idea of us being friends.

"Hey let's go back to my room. I wanna show you a song I wrote but i haven't shown the boys because I don't think they'll like it."
"Yeah sure."

Once we were in his room I sat in his bed and he sat right beside me.

"Okay you ready?"he asked
"As ready as I'll ever be." I smiled

"Okay. This is a song I wrote a few days ago called beside you. It's about this girl that I met and she wouldn't let me look at her"

"Within a minute I was all packed up
