A long day in the car with Michael, your soon to be father in law, talking nothing but business is not your idea of a good time. It feels great to be back at your desk talking with potential clients or anyone else for that matter.

Thankfully the day is winding down, and you have little more than one thing on your mind all day. Finally the rush is over and you can head home.

Grabbing your jacket and heading out the door you're greeted by a startled Carla. "Oh hello, sorry about that Carla, I was about to head home. Can you lock up please?"

"Of course Sir, it's just...."

"I'm sorry, you needed to see me about something?" you ask.

"It's nothing that can't wait Sir, I will lock up, have a great evening." she responds.

You pause for a moment as you knew you should insist but you're feeling a bit tired so you just walk away.
But there's that voice again, telling you she needed something.

You turn around only to see her quickly turn her head away from watching you walk away.

What's this? That's odd, you think as you head out slightly curious but a little too puzzled to find out.

Paying it no mind you head home, after all this is the day you plan to ask your college sweetheart to marry you.

Everything is planned perfect, she should arrive back in town in a few hours and you have reservations at her favorite restaurant. The waiter has been paid to play his part and the chef is making the perfect meal for you both.
Months of planning are about to pay off.

Now where did I put that ring? You say to yourself out loud.
Ah, here it is. A tiny little thing that doesn't look big enough to fit anyone's hand. But you had it sized to match her other rings. A beautiful black diamond with two small pink diamonds on either end of a white gold band. Exactly what she shared with you would be her ideal engagement ring.
You need to get ready, time is flying by and she's going to be arriving soon.

Entering the room you notice your phone flashing on the bed.
I never heard this go off, you think to yourself. Who could it be?
Oh!
