The swirling portal deposited them directly into Bhavya's chambers, the cool air of the palace starkly contrasting the warm night outside. The large room was dimly lit by the soft glow of enchanted lanterns, casting golden hues across the stone walls and the rich carpets spread across the floor. Intricate celestial patterns adorned the ceiling, reflecting the cosmic forces Bhavya controlled.
As soon as they arrived, Vishwas let out a dramatic sigh and plopped onto the nearest cushioned divan, still holding the basket.
"Finally ghar aa gaye," he groaned, stretching his arms lazily before shifting his gaze toward Bhavya. "Toh... ab kya?"
Bhavya, still holding the baby girl securely in his arms, didn't answer immediately. His eyes remained fixed on her tiny face, her long lashes fluttering slightly as she stirred. He gently adjusted his hold, his large hands careful as ever.
Samaya, noticing the tension in Bhavya's shoulders, sighed. "Pehle yeh toh confirm karna padega ke yeh kiski hai aur yaha kese aayi." He stepped closer, his sharp gaze scanning over the baby's features once more. "Lekin ek baat toh pakki hai—yeh samanya shishu nahi hai."
Vishwas sat up, his interest piqued. "Acha? Kya lagta hai? Koi samundri kul se judi hai?"
Bhavya exhaled through his nose and shook his head. "Abhi kuch keh nahi sakte." His voice was quiet but firm. "Bina jaane kisi nateeje pe nahi pahuncha ja sakta."
The baby suddenly shifted in his arms, her tiny hands curling into fists before relaxing again. Bhavya instinctively ran a soothing hand over her back.
Vishwas, observing this, smirked. "Lagne laga hai jaise tu pehle se hi iska pita ban gaya."
Bhavya shot him a glare, but before he could retort, Samaya chuckled. "Waise sach mein, Bhai, tujhe suit karega."
"Chup raho, tum dono." Bhavya rolled his eyes but didn't refute them.
Vishwas leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "Toh phir abhi kya karna hai? Isse yehin sula dena hai?"
Samaya hummed in thought. "Haan, lekin sabse pehle isse comfortable karte hai. Yeh abhi bhi thodi si bechain lag rahi hai."
Bhavya nodded. Without another word, he carefully walked over to his grand bed—a majestic structure of dark oak with deep blue and gold drapes flowing around it. He gently placed the baby in the center of the plush bedding, adjusting the soft blankets around her.
The moment she was laid down, her little fists grabbed onto the fabric, her sea green eyes peeking open for a brief second before she let out a tiny sigh and relaxed again.
Vishwas grinned. "Dekha? Isse bhi Bhavya Bhai ka comfort pasand aaya."
Bhavya shot him an exasperated look but chose to ignore him. Instead, he sat down on the edge of the bed, watching the baby girl as her breathing evened out.
Samaya crossed his arms. "Kal tak toh humein iske baare mein kuch aur pata lagana hoga." His voice had a serious edge now. "Agar yeh sach mein kisi aur jagah se aayi hai, toh iske peeche koi wajah zaroor hogi."
Bhavya simply nodded. "Haan. Lekin jo bhi ho, jab tak hum isse samajh nahi lete, yeh yahaan surakshit rahegi."
Vishwas grinned and threw himself backward onto the bed, lying down with his arms crossed behind his head. "Mujhe koi problem nahi hai. Chhoti si rajkumari humaare saath reh rahi hai, bas yeh mat kehna ke ab humein iski dekhbhal bhi karni padegi."
Samaya smirked. "Tu toh shuru se hi apni zimmedariyon se bhaagta hai."
Bhavya gave him a warning glance. "Agar zarurat padi, toh hum sab milke iski dekhbhal karenge."
