Hetalia One-Shots

China (Setting 19th Cent.)

Raining. What a drab day it was in the country of China where you lived. You were an orphan taking care of your siblings while trying to stay alive on the streets. You had to fight with other homeless just to survive. You learned how to fight to protect. But one day you got too injured in a fight. Your siblings were too little to even help take care of you. You knew it was the end. You smiled toward the dark cloudy sky and prayed to the gods that those kids would be okay. You were crying and you didn't even know. You called your oldest sibling over, "Listen (Sibling Name) take care of them, I won't be around much longer, okay? Please promise me you will." You smiled and messed up their hair. "I will but why do you have to go _____?" They were bawling their eyes out. "The gods are calling me. Don't cry, you'll see me again someday." You smiled, slowly got up and walked away to find a place to finally rest. Your siblings cried as you limped away.

You got to the street and started to cross. Dizziness took effect from the loss of blood. You started falling in the middle of the busy street. Right when you were going to hit the ground you saw a person running towards you.

You woke up to find yourself inside a fancy place. The room was decorated in red and gold items and cloth, the signs of royalty. You looked to your right and saw a sleeping, but handsome, man holding your petite hand you quickly pulled it away and pulled the covers up over your bandaged body.

He started to stir which made you panic. His brown eyes fluttered open. "Ah, you are awake, how are you feeling aru?" He put a sincere smile on his face. "Fine, b-but who are you, why am I here, and WHY AM I NAKED!" (BTW you only had bandages to cover the wounds on) He chuckled a small amount. "Don't worry, I didn't do anything to you! You collapsed in the street and were heavily wounded. And I am Yao Wang." He smiled and put out his hand. You took it and say up still holding the covers covering your torso. "That still doesn't explain why I am naked!" You got flustered. "Oh yes sorry aru! Here have these." He stood up and opened the wardrobe and got a (favorite colored) robe out and handed to you. "Do you need help putting it on?" He asked. You started to sit up "No I don't need-" a sharp pain cascaded through your whole body. "Okay maybe I do..." You started blushing. "Oh you get so cute when you are embarrassed!" He smiled. "Shut it!" You yelled. He only laughed.

He invited you down for dinner after he helped you change. You gladly accepted considering you didn't usually eat much. "So I never caught your name, aru." He wasn't eating only looking at you. "(Last N) (First N)." You continued to stuff your face with this food. "Beautiful name for a beautiful woman, so why were you beaten and bloody trying to walk?" You stopped eating and looked down. "I thought I was dying and I didn't want to die in front of my siblings they are too young." He looked at you wide eyed. "Oh I'm sorry. I'm glad I was out that day, I was out looking for a bride when this woman just collapsed on the street right in front of me." You looked at him with a puzzled look. "Wait a bride? Who are you!?" He stood up and proudly put his hands on his hips. "Well the emperor of China of course!" It was all going together now, you know the decor, the food, him. "So who is this lucky girl to be your bride?"

"You, aru!" He smiled

"One deal though, you take care of my siblings!" You were happy that you were marrying this nice and handsome man but also kinda mad. "Well of course my dear _____ family is family!"

#FLASHBACK END#

Today was the day of your wedding. You had grown to love Yao and he loved you back. He took your siblings in and took care of them and you.

"Aru, you look absolutely beautiful..." He looked at you almost speechless. You turned around and pecked his lips. "Thank you, husband."

I loved writing that so much. That was probably my 2nd favorite one to write after the Romano one.
