“This is some fancy shit restaurant, Zayn. I’m not going in! Not when I’m dressed like this..” I complained.

“You look fine, sweetheart. Now come on.” He said, helping me out his car.

“No-“

“Cam.” He warned.

I groaned but took his hand in mine allowing him to lead us through the expensive glass doors of the restaurant.

As expected, the place was luxurious; chandeliers hung high on the ceilings of the foyer, floors covered with marbled tiles and a few oil paintings lined the neutral colored walls. We approached the waitress who was dawned in her black and white uniform.

“Welcome to Saffron, Mr Malik.” She greeted. How did she know his name?

Oh right, I forgot. He’s famous.

“Let me show you to your table.” She said, taking a couple of menus in her hand before leading us inside.

To my absolute surprise, there was only one table seen in the hall. Candles lit all around the room and even though it was daylight outside, it was still a magnificent sight. Music played over the speakers, making the ambience even much more romantic. The linen covered table was wonderfully decorated, of course. All kinds of different utensils surrounded the gold-rimmed ceramic plates and a vase of roses placed perfectly in the middle of the table.

I turned my head to Zayn, who was staring at me attentively. He gave me a small approving smile before pulling out the chair for me to sit.

“Here’s your menu. My colleague will be here to serve you once you’re ready.” The lady announced formally before walking away.

“What the hell, Zayn?” I whispered, leaning towards him.

“What?” He too spoke in a soft tone.

“Did you book this whole place for us?”

“Yup.” He replied.

“You shouldn’t have!!”

“I wanted it to be perfect, babe. And why are we whispering again?”

I shrugged, clearing my throat at the same.

“I don’t know. Seems appropriate.” He chuckled at me before flipping thru the menu.

“So…” He looked at me once our orders were taken.

“Mhmm?”

“I have a competition next weekend and I want you to be there.“

“Really?” I asked, grinning. He nodded.

“Will you get jealous again if I speak to Harry?” I challenged him.

He froze at my words but slowly relaxed when he realised that I was joking. He shook in head before answering me.

“You won’t be able to talk to him anyway. He’ll be too busy getting ready for the race.” He winked.

I was about to reply something sassy back at him, but the waiter came back with our food.

Halfway through the meal, I heard my phone chimed indicating that I had a new text message. I looked for it in my bag to check who had texted me.

From: El

Hi bitch. I’m upset to have to hear this important news from Louis and not you. You know what I’m talking about and don’t deny it! Call me when you get this, Smith. ;P xx
