Sifting through the old photos I had in a shoe box under my bed, I smiled and laughed at the funny faces and teared up at the sweet moments captured in a cameras lense. I lightly traced my finger around the facial outline of my one true love, then picked up the next photo. I was wearing a black dress and tears, holding flowers to put on the grave. I choked on a quiet sob and immediately set the picture back down, abruptly closing the box and shoving in under the bed. I wasn't ready for it. Not for any of this. I couldn't watch him go away and not follow him.

I checked out the window that no one was home, and I was greeted with an empty driveway. I turned quickly, bumping into the bedside table in my room, and made a run for the bathroom. Sifting through the medicine cupboard, I finally came across a large container of pain relievers. I read the label to see what the normal doses were and how many you should take per day. I noticed the max amount was six per day, so I poured about 25 or 30 into the palm of my hand.

I held the pills close in my hand, jogging down the stairs to get a glass of water, a pen, and a few sheets of paper. I ran back to my room, set down my pen and papers by the desk, then brushed the pills out of my hand onto the desk with the glass of water sitting next to it. I took three of the pills and washed them down with water, sat at the desk, then started writing my heart away.

ONE WEEK EARLIER

I smiled, roaming the halls with my boyfriend, Myles Jordanson, close at my hip and holding my hand. We have been dating for three years, officially, today and Myles is walking me out of my university right now. I had just finished my classes for today, and it was only one in the afternoon. "I love you, Anabella." Myles said, pulling me closer. "And I love you, Myles." I stopped and stood in front of Myles, standing up on my toes to kiss his soft lips. He smiled, kissed back for a moment, then pulled away so we could leave.

"May I ask where we're going?" I asked polietly, swinging our interlocked hands back and forth. "Somewhere you'll love, babe." Myles said running his thumb over my knuckles. My hands were quite small, especially compared to Camerons, but I loved the way his hands could encase mine completely. "The beach? A carnival? NEVERLAND?!" I asked excitedly, jumping up and down a little bit. "I'm not telling you, babe, otherwise it won't be a surprise." He said happily, pulling me in front of him and continuing to walk, our foreheads pressed together for a moment.

After a few minuets of continuous asking with no avail, I decided (finally) that Myles wouldn't spill, so I just started humming random songs that came to mind. We reached the car, and we both got in and Myles began to drive. "Please tell me where we're going, babe. Please?" I asked one last time, my hand resting on the center council with Myles' laying on top, holding our hands together. "No, babe. It's a secret, and I can't tell you or it won't be anymore!" Myles laughed, so I sighed dramatically, and softly slammed my back onto the back of the seat.

After a while, we pulled into a vacant lot far outside of where I'm used to. I stared out the window to a beautiful scene. Though the lot was vacant of cars, I could see shadows further away with a faint glow across the parking lot. My shoes slapped the ground as I started running towards the light. "Babe, wait!" Myles yelled happily, easily catching up to me with his large strides.

He scooped me up, covered my eyes with a small cloth, then continued towards where I was running. "You smell good." I said randomly, smelling the cologne that Myles was wearing. "Thanks, Anna." I could feel the light of his smile radiating around me. A few moments later, I was set back down and the cloth was removed.

"Oh, my goodness!" I exclaimed, my hands flying to my mouth. There was a small, round, wooden table with two chairs of the same wood that were opposite each other, and there was a round, white table cloth over the table. There was a large tree behind the table, holding fairy lights that shimmered in the shadows, and a mesh net that looked like shining silver was set above the area of the tree and encased the scene inside of it.

"It's beautiful..." I mumbled, walking through a slit in the fabric Myles was holding open for me. I stepped through, sitting at the empty table only holding holding a small vase of flowers. White and pink roses, my favorites.

After a few hours of eating decadent sweets, savory snacks, and delicious pasta, it was now becoming dark and the air was growing more humid.

"Thank you, babe, and happy three year anniversary." I said with a smile, looking over at Myles. We were laying on a blanket outside of the table fort, snuggled together, looking at the stars starting to emerge.

"Of course. And one more question...?" Myles reaponded, sounding a little nervous, and he sat up. I sat up with him, slightly confused. "Yeah?"

"Anna, I have known you since kindergarden, and I've been in love with you since high school, and I know we're young, but I know it's meant to be. I love you so much, and you're the girl I want to spend my life with. I want to have kids with you, grow old together, and die together. I would take a bullet for you, my love. So, Annabella Marie Smith, will you do me the honors of marrying me?" Myles said, his eyes slightly glossy.

My eyes were overflowing with tears, my hands clasped over my mouth. I nodded, about to tackle Myles in a hug when I heard an insanely loud pop, a scream, a thud, then tires screeching. I realize with a sore throat that I was screaming, and Myles' now lifeless body, a ring in his hand, was sprawled across the blanket in a growing pool of blood.

PRESENT DAY

Finishing the note to my roommates, Mallory and Sierra, I felt myself growing increasingly tired and calm. I took the last three pills, wiped away a few last tears, and sat on my bed. I smiled, hearing Myles' smooth voice. 'Soon enough, babe.' I heard over and over. I sat against my head board, the two letters in my hands. After a few minutes, my mom's voice was in my head. 'Don't cry, my love, mommy's got you.'

I felt warm arms around myself, but I knew no one was there. I couldn't see anyone in my room.

My eyes were almost completely shut, tears rushing down my face, when I saw my dad's face materialize. 'Come here, Anna-Banana' He called soothingly, his arms open. Myles and my Mom were now stood next to my Dad. Mere seconds before my eyes slipped shut, I felt my heart beat was almost completely gone, and I heard the faint slam of my bedroom door slamming open, and two high pitched screams. I remembered Myles' proposal, and how I never vocalized my answer.

"I do."
