I woke up due to the sunlight that poured through the window. Being momentarily startled by the unfamiliar surroundings, I instantly relaxed as I realized where I was and looked down to see a peaceful, sleeping Addilyn with my arms secured around her waist.
I was so happy I was on vacation this week for Christmas. I laid back down next to her and placed a kiss on her neck. She stirred a little then rolled over. Her eyes fluttered open and met mine.
"good morning." I said my voice a little raspy. she smiled. "hey how'd you sleep?"
"great" it occurred to that that was the greatest I've slept in a long time
She got up out of bed and threw on a sweater. "Do you want some coffee?" "sure" I responded getting up and noticing the cold. I followed her to the kitchen and glanced out the window seeing a heavy snowfall. she poured the coffee and handed it to me
"thank you"
"do you have to work today?"
I shook my head "you?"
"I go in at 3 this afternoon."
there was a moment of silence and I thought it would be a good time to say what I'd wanted to say since she left. "hey, Addilyn, I need to tell you something."
"what's up?" she waited for me to continue. "okay,-breaking up with you was the stupidest thing I ever did and I- Addilyn, I still love you."
