So, this one is just a "duh" thing. You might say: "Emma.... I'm just going to tell you exactly what I think... You're so stupid." and then stop reading this book entirely, but HEAR ME OUT! Don't leave until you let me elaborate!
If him or his friends just tell you straight up that he likes you, then he probably does.
Me: *Pauses to let all of you roll your eyes*
Okay, so here's what I mean by that. I'll just tell you through my personal experiences.
I was on a class trip and I was on the bus going to the Lincoln memorial. I was sitting with my best friend and I was across from a guy who hates me to this day and a guy who I kind of liked at the time. When the bus stopped and we were getting up, the guy who really hates me comes up to me and says "hey. He likes you." and I'm thinking: this guy just wants to screw me up so haha no. So I ignored him and started walking down the isle of the bus. "No seriously." He says. "He's madly in love with you"
"Liar," I accused. "Are you sure you're not talking about you?" I love torturing him. That shut him up and he pretended to gag himself. Then I walked away and ignored the both of them for the rest of the trip.
Actually no I didn't. Later that day I needed to charge my phone and the spot we were sitting at didn't have a charger, but theirs did. So I had them charge my phone and then my best friend told him my password so he started taking pics of the floor and then posting them on snapchat... my story wound up being 1000 seconds long. He also took a picture of the guy I liked and then posted it saying "bus ride with Fidel Castro." Yay...
That was an example of when they tell you straight up and they are LYING! Make sure you trust whoever told you. I didn't believe that guy for a second because I had no reason to trust him after all the torture he gave me through the years.
Here's an example of when they're telling the truth.
So, this happened a couple of years ago when I was in seventh grade. One of my best friends was a guy and I hung out a lot since we were at the same church and school. He was a year older than me and was from New Zealand. We were in the drama show together for two years and we lived in the same area. His brother went to the same high school as I will be attending this fall. Most of this was peer pressure, but we ended up dancing together at school dances and things like that. On new years eve, I was with my friends and they told me that he liked me. Well, I texted him after the ball dropped and he said that he did, in fact, like me.
We wound up fading from that. We never dated or anything and just kept to being best friends. He left to go home to New Zealand that January and I'm pretty sure I was the last one to say goodbye to him. Yeah, I missed him and I emailed him for a while, but now we've just gone our separate ways.
That was my example of a true one, I have less depressing stories, but I'm not going to write all of them out because @writing_girl12 commented a lot on the last one and I'm pretty sure we gave away that story for y'all.
Anyways, I love y'all and I'm so excited to be consistently updating this book finally! <3
