Alrighty! So, an awesome fan of this book sent me a message saying that I should give you guys some advice! I dedicated this chapter to her! Her just happens to be @MDarkshadow. Here we go!
First off, you're all beautiful. I don;t care what your own personally opinion is. You are beautiful in every way possible! Don't you dare argue with me. You are absolutely stunning!
That being said, I now want to ask you a question. Since you are so beautiful, why do you refuse to be confident? I understand that sometimes people feel really down about themselves or something that happened to them. It's totally okay to have a bad day. The thing that bothers me is that no one seems to be able to take a compliment. Or a hint for that matter! Honestly, if a guy is telling you that you look really nice or that you are good at someting, then accept it! He thinks that you are wonderful and you need to save your modesty and just say "thanks!" You can shoot a compliment back at them too! This all points to how confident you are!
You girls are allowed to be bold! It doesn't matter what other people think, as cliche as that sounds! As long as you are really being real! Show everyone your sensitive, fun, crazy, fangirly sides! Anyone that can't accept that has a major issue. And anyone that tells you that you are worthless or not good enough had to take time out of their miserable lives to think about you and search for something that they think is wrong with you.
I'm just trying to say that you have the right to talk to a guy and be confident about it! If you think he's trying to be flirty, then go for it! If you think he's trying to play you, tell him that you aren't a toy! You can be vicious when you need them to back off. Don't let them belittle you because you're a girl!
I realize that this is supposed to give you advice, so I'll get to that part now. When it comes to boys, most of us are fairly clueless, including me. I think the best advice I can give to you is to just know yourself. Yeah, boys are different than us girls, but they are still human beings with feelings! You have to think about how you would react in a situation that you want to put a guy into. Example: Guy asks you why you look so grumpy. DO NOT TELL HIM "IT'S THAT TIME OF THE MONTH!" Just tell him that you've been feeling kind of sick or that you were thinking of something unpleasant. They really don't want to hear about icky stuff unless your talking about The Walking Dead or hunting.
Which leads me to my next piece of advice. Be yourself. I know this sounds really corny, but seriously. Don't pretend to be someone that you aren't. If you hate video games, then you don't necessarily have to state your opinion to him. If he starts talking about how "amazing the graphics in Halo" are, then you can just tell him that you don't prefer video games! If you haven't ever met the guy and he wants to get to know you, don't give him tons of information. Tell him your first name. If he asks what you are interested in, then tell him one or two things that you are fairly ambitious about. Keep it real. Be honest but without giving away your whole life story. If he asks you out, then try to get a double date or something. That way you will have a friend who will take care of you in the event that he is trying to play you.
Last little bit of advice for you! Be careful! Not every guy is going to be your prince charming. Keep an open mind about them, but guard your heart. If he really cares for you, then he will knock them down. Don't ever be afraid. They are just people, just like you. You have power in your love, and you should protect it, because the power can be lost. Remember that it is okay to make a mistake, but don't let it determine your life!
