"No, tell me. I need to know!" I was enraged with him. I went to Hades to set things right between us, turns out that he went and flitted off with some girl too. Why didn't he tell me? "What hurts the most is that you did it behind my back." He looked at the floor and then at me again.
"It wasn't behind your back. I was going to tell you Meg, honest." I couldn't deny that my heart was ripped.
"That's such a pathetic excuse Hercules." I sat down on the step and tied my loose sandal.
"Where are you going?" I can't. Not anymore.
"To... I don't know. But I know that I found love with you. We were in love, we were -"
"We are in love Meg." He spoke with passion as he grabbed me and turned me to face him.
"No, well, you might love me, but I'm not sure as I was before that I want you. And no, before you ask, no, I'm not thinking about Hades, it's just.. I thought I wanted both of you, then I wanted him, but not as much as I wanted you. I came to realise that I was, and always have been, madly in love with you so I came back. I came back to you talking about another woman. How do you think that makes me feel?" His eyes were sad. I hated to see him like this but I had to say this. "I choose neither of you."
And with that, I walked away, never to see Hercules - or Hades - again.
