I wake up with the warmth of Rich's hands laced around my waist. The domestication I feel with this man provides me with a strong sense of comfort and stability.

"Good morning." I manage to squeak out in the deep, morning voice of mine. He reciprocates my words by pressing soft kisses against my neck. I turn around to face him where I press a gentle kiss upon his lips.

"You know we have to sort this all out today, babe." I say.

"Of course. Let's get up and i'll make some tea.

We both walk downstairs, not making any efforts to get ready as we're not planning on doing anything today. He focuses his attention on the brewing tea before I bring out the words:

"Rich, what are we?" I've been holding this question in for far too long. I cannot cope with the uncertainty of whatever it is we have going on. He's made his feelings towards me clear but I don't know where we actually stand.

He turns around, a smile on his face.

"I'm pretty sure you feel the same way but I think we should just make it official. We've had suppressed feelings towards each other for years and now we have an opportunity to pursue something, I don't want to waste it. I don't think it's too soon either since we've known each other for so long."

"I was hoping you'd say something like that." I need to deflect the tears that are filling my eyes. I'm so unbelievably glad he said that.

I get up and walk towards him before pressing a gentle kiss upon his lips.

"Now here's your tea, girlfriend." His words make me giggle. I know today's going to be a good day.

A/N

I know this is easily the shortest chapter written on this platform yet but I needed to get this part out of the way before the next chapter. It will be much longer than this one.

I can't lie to you guys, this book is such a chore. I'm really not feeling it but i'll just have to push through.

I think it would've helped if I did a little background story on the pair of them instead of delving straight into the deep end.
