Chapter Eight

"They say that love is forever, your forever is all that I need, please stay as long as you need!!!" I burst out singing the lyrics(teehee) to If I'm James Dean, Then You're Audrey Hepburn by Sleeping With Sirens as soon as I sat down at the lunch table.

"Can't promise that things won't be broken, but I swear that I will never leave!" Ariel sang with me.

"Please stay forever with me!" Jamie finished and we all started laughing.

"So what's up?" Jamie asked handing me a cookie.

"Nothin' much. Why'd you give me a cookie?" I answered.

"Because, I'm nice." she said.

"Thanks. Oh, I was wondering if you guys wanted to come over this weekend for like a sleepover or something." I said munching on my chocolate chip cookie.I had already asked my mom and she said it would be okay.

"Sure," Ariel said. "Yeah we'd love to." finished Jamie, because she always finishes ;)

"Well that's great, " I smiled. "My mom and I are going paint shopping after school, though, so do you want to come with us or we can pick you up after?"I inquired.

"I wanna go!" replied Jamie.

"Yeah, I guess we can go with you." Ariel said.

"Okay, cool." I said as I finished my cookie.

"Oh, I like this one, " said Jamie pointing to a light blue on our color card thing. "It's really pretty."

"Jamie, we're here for lavender, remember." Ariel said picking up a purple color card.

"I like that one." I said. It was the perfect shade and it would go nicely with the white desk.

"Alright, well lets go find it." said my mom walking away to the paints.

"So can we help you paint?" Jamie asked as we followed my mom.

"Yeah, that'd be great." I replied

"Awesome." she said.

"Here it is." called my mother from a few steps away from us. She picked up the can of paint and we went to pay for it.

"Yes, finally finished." I sighed as we put the paints away. Jamie, Ariel and I were covered in paint. We had a little paint fight when my mom left the room to get a few towels.

"It looks great." Ariel smiled.

"Yup." agreed Jamie.

"Well girls, I think you all deserve a little treat after your hard work. How about icecream?" She asked.

"YES!" we all screamed in unison.

We were now sitting in the car eating our icecream and singing along to Paramore. I had a chocolate cone with colorful spinkles, Jamie had strawberry with white sprinkles and Ariel had vanilla with chocolate syrup.

"This is so good." said Ariel finishing up and wiping her mouth.

"I know right." I agreed.

"We're home." my mom said from the front seat.

We hopped out of the car and ran to the house. I stepped to the side so my mother could unlock the door and we all went inside, she went to the kitchen. Ariel, Jamie and I were going to sleep in the lounge because of the paint fumes. It was only 6pm so we were just going hang out for now.

"Who wants to play truth or dare?" I asked plopping down on the floor.

"Me!" Jamie and Ariel said at the same time.

"Well I just got called into work, so you can order pizza if you want. Don't leave the house after 8, ok." My mom said walking into the room.

"Okay, " I said as she walked out the front door, "Well now we can have a little more fun." I said to Ariel and Jamie with a smirk on my face.

We all formed a circle excitedly and started the game.

"Truth or dare?" Jamie asked me.

"Dare." I said smiling.

After a moment of thinking she said, "I dare you to kiss a stranger at the mall."

My eyes widened, but I knew I didn't have a choice, "Okay, let's go." I said.

The mall was pretty close so we walked and now we were searching for someone for me to kiss. Then I saw this really cute guy with black hair covering one eye in Hot topic.

"Okay, him." I said to Jamie. She gestured for me to go over, so I walked up to him and just got it over with. I grabbed his face and kissed his lips. When I pulled away his eyes were wide and my face went red. I turned around and ran out of the store past my laughing friends shouting an apology over my shoulder.

"Hey Lyric, guess what." Ariel said walking over to me. Jamie couldn't stop laughing still and I sent her a glare.

"What?" I asked.

"Here, his name is Gabe and this is his number." she said handing me a sticky note with a phone number on it.

"Seriously?" I said.

"Yup." she was grinning and started wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

I rolled my eyes, "Truth or dare?" I asked Ariel.

"Truth." she answered.

"When was the last time you lied to Jamie?" I asked.

She thought for a minute, "Last week when she asked if I liked the outfit she was wearing."

"Hey!" said Jamie. "What outfit was that?" she asked.

"The one with the weird colorful socks." she replied.

"Oh." Jamie said.

We did a few more crazy things in the mall before we got bored and went home. It wasn't until midnight that we all went to sleep. Jamie got the couch and Ariel got the loveseat, since she was the shortest, while I slept on the foor.
