Chapter Ten

*Jake's POV*

I smile and hold out my hand. She smiles back and squeezes it. I don't want this moment to end, but Anna lets go.

She looks at me.

"Ok. Jake Mitchell. You seem like a cool guy. I would like to know you better."

I laugh.

"Me too, Anna Mendes. I want to know every little thing about you."

She grins and starts running.

"Race ya!"

"Hey!" I yell back running as fast as I can. I catch up to her and pick her up. She smells nice(creepy much😂).

"Let me down!" She whines, laughing.

"Okay, sure!" I drop her and she screams.

"Jake!" She screams with a mischievous smile on her face.

"Huh?" I say nervously, backing up from her.

She charges towards me.

Splash!

We end up in the water fountain.

I look over at Anna. Her face is in the water.

"Oh my gosh, Anna?" I anxiously say, turning her around.

She suddenly opens up her eyes and spits water on my face.

"And that's for dropping me!" She says, approved. She gets up from the water fountain.

"Fine. You win, but this isn't over!" I say with an evil look on my face.

"You think I'm scared?"

"Honestly, I don't think you're scared of anything."

"Maybe that's true," she says. "Are you scared of me?"

"Yes, a lot," I say.

"Well you should!"

I laugh.

"Come on. I'm starving!" She says holding out her hand. I stare at it and finally realize I'm still in the pool.

"Thanks. Leggo," I say.
