Chapter Two

*Anna's POV*

Nate and I dropped Claire up at her preschool and went to our school, Lincoln High.

"Bye, Anna!" Nate says and runs to his group of friends.

I head to my home room. Waiting for my best friend, Danielle. She usually goes by Dani though. It usually goes like this every morning and I always feel alone when I wait, just sitting there staring off in the distance, listening to music and going on social media, pacing to look like I'm actually waiting for someone. People probably think I'm a loner but whatever.

After about 5 minutes of waiting, Dani finally comes with her black converse and sunglasses. She's just that kind of girl.

"Hi Annnaaaa!" she calls to me as I try to hug her. "Hey, hey you know I don't like hugs!"

She tried to pry me off her, but gave up after the second time. We walked like this to our usually spot and sit. I finally getting off her.

"Soo," I say.

"Soo," she says

"Maybe soo will be our always( a little TFIOS for ya'll) ," I joke.

"That's why you're my best friend, you always make random quotes from about anywhere," she replies.

The bell rings.

"Leggo!" I say.

*skipping to after school*

Nate and I raced to Claire's preschool/daycare.

We came out covered in paint.

"And that's what you get for almost tickling me to death!" Claire laughs at us.

"Okay, okay. We surrender Your Greatness," Nate says putting his hands up and bows.

"That's more like it!" she says puffing her chest and lifts her head up high. I just laugh at her and we begin to walk home.

We get home and do our usual stuff.

It soon becomes 6:30 and mom comes home.

"Hi mom," I say from the couch.

"Hi, honey. Where's everyone else?" She asks me.

From in the closet and behind the door, Nate and Claire jump out and scare her, making her jump.

"Hey! You sneaky little monkeys..." She says. Nate and Claire start backing up and ran away with Mom right on their tail.

I laugh and continue going on my phone. She's their problem now.

*skipping to dinner*

Everyone eats their dinner while talking about their day. Mom then turns all serious and tells us she has some news.

"I know you guys love Cali, but," she nervously says. "But things have changed at work and well, we're moving to Hereford, guys!"
