Biology project

The next day in biology was awkward. Everyone was still giggling at me from what happened yesterday. I sat in my seat and tried not to make eye contact with anyone. Especially Luke.

"Hey listen!" Said Haley, the girl that got fucked by Luke yesterday. The whole school was talking about it.
"Luke isn't gay so leave him alone! He's already in love with someone else." She whispers to me, pointing to herself.

"I haven't said a word to him..." I say quietly. "Don't try and act-" She got interrupted. "Hey leave him alone Haley." Luke says. She looks at him for a few seconds and walks away.

"Good afternoon class," The teacher says. "Today I will set you guys up with partners for your biology project." She says giving everyone a piece of paper filled with the rules and procedures.

"Now here are the partners." She says standing in front of the class and looks at the paper. "I hope I get Luke. The project wouldn't be the only thing we'd be doing all night." Haley whispers to her friends.

The teacher starts the partners. "Dean with Simeon, Haley with Sean, Luke with Michael..." Everyone gasps and turns to Luke. Luke looks at me. "Miss. Sarah are we aloud to change partners?" He says raising his hand. My heart breaks into tiny pieces.

"No Luke." She says. The class giggles. "Good luck bro." Someone says. "I'll need it." Luke says. My eyes start to water. "Get with your partners now and start planning." She says walking to her desk. Luke gets up and walks over to me.

"Hey Michael..." He says. I ignore him. "Michael. You can't ignore me. We gotta do this project..." He whispers. "You're a dick..." I manage to get out. Luke doesn't say anything. "I'm sorry I just-" I finish his sentence. "Don't wanna loose your cool and don't wanna be seen with me. I know." I say as the bell rings.

"I'll see you after school in the courtyard to plan where we're meeting for the project." I sigh getting my bag. Luke doesn't move. "O-Okay." Luke whispers. I walk out of class and walk to my next period with Harry. Hopefully he can get my mind off of Luke. Until school ends.
