I tried my best to ignore my roommates walking about the perimeter of the room but their voices boomed. After nearly all the girls left around noon I went down stairs to eat my cereal in peace. Thankfully Karen and Lydia had a committee meeting that occupied them for the day. After I devoured my Cinnamon Toast Crunch, I came face to face with the Rolex and my nightstand. A twenty thousand dollar watch that was not mine. Holy mother of pickles.

It never occurred to me that he purposely forgot his watch so that I would have to see him again. Why risk twenty thousand for plain old me ? Why even bother ?

So naturally when the chimes of the doorbell rang around one in the afternoon, I was not surprised to see his charming face at the door. He looked just as clean cut as last night where I had rocked raccoon eyes and a few spots from not taking my makeup off.

"You again !" I smiled sarcastically and he charmed me with a grin.

"I forgot my watch last night." He lets himself into the house and took a seat on the couch where I had eating my cereal earlier. I pulled a blanket over me as I sit at the other end of the couch.

"I would ask how your night went, but I was there." He sat comfortably in a suit on the leather couch, how I don't know. It seemed as if he was always comfortable and that he used this to his advantage.

So early in the year and I will already have a boy in my room. My mom would be so proud. I mean a guy I don't know, no one in the house, and headed for my room.

"My name is Javier by the way. Javier Chavez." He followed closely behind on the wooden stairs making me uncomfortable. 'Javier ?' I thought to myself. 'Never knew a Javier.'

"Karenina Espanova."

"Españova" he rolled and I had to admit, I liked it. Javier transformed my name to Spanish with his own twist on it.

"Where are you from Javier Chavez ?" I asked to pass the time between the journey from the stairs and my room.

"My father is from Monte Grande, Buenos Aires in Argentina, but I was born here." Not sure I asked that much, but alright.

"Wow that's...cool."

"Cool ?" He asked as I pushed open the door and entered, him following.

"Yeah cool. Please stay at the door. " He placed his hands up in a surrender as I made sure he complied. Carefully, I handed him the expensive silver and he just clasped it on without looking. Javier sat down on my bed and kicked his feet up. I looked at him as if he was joking, but he was completely serious.

"I asked if you could wait over there." I angrily reminded.

"Wanna go get lunch ? I'm famished." He spoke randomly at the ceiling.

"I'm good."

"A movie then ?"

"No I was just gonna read." Does he not get the hint ? This was too uncomfortable and I was close to reaching for my roommates pepper spray. I don't play with safety, at least not counting last night. That was a lesson for myself since it got me here.

"We can watch a movie here. Let's go to town ! We can eat on the lookout !" He was like a child sitting with his mind rattling. I just wanted him to leave.

"Come on ! My treat."

"Don't you work ?" I asked annoyed.

"Yes, but it's the weekend." He was amused but when I asked where he worked he hesitated. "I'm into politics and city affairs." Not really an answer but okay ?
