"Damn... Sorry Indigo. If I aint talk to you Sade wouldn't have hit you man.. I'm sorry." Joey apologized. I laughed.

"Its OK. Its not like I lost. I mean shiettt I'm still on FLEEK." We laughed and walked down the block past the bodega.

"Yea ma, always will be. You've always looked good to me." He smiled and looked down at his J's.

"Awwwe is someone giving out compliments?" I said bumping shoulders with him.

"Nah... Just saying facts." He said kicking at rocks.

We walked a couple of feet before he asked the next question." Ya dad really committed suicide huh?" He asked.

"Yea... The note said 'I can't take it anymore' yea... He really did. I kinda miss him." I said, tears welling up in my eyes.

"I understand. My brother STEELO he jumped from the studio. Over there." He said pointing to a tall building.

"I'm sorry about your brother. I guess we have more in common than AP History." I shrugged and stood on my stoop. I looked up and saw my mom give me a thumbs up.

"Yea. I guess. I gotta get home." He said and turned down the stairs to go home.

"Hey! Um... Call me and tell me you made it home. OK?" I said. The Pro's and me already switched numbers.

"Alright ma. Goodnight." He called.

"Night Joey." I said.

When I got in the house my mom explained to me that she understood what happened and I only got suspended because the Principal thought it fair since I fought back.

She laughed and I got in the shower. Laying in my bed my mind drifted to my dad.

I missed him. I was his princess. He was my everything in life. He was the reason I breathe.

Before I fell asleep. My phone vibrated.

'I'm home ma...'

'Thanks for the update boo...'

'Anytime ma...'
