A couple of long minutes before the sun sets, it turned into a beautiful red.
The clopping of the horses' hooves could be heard from the other side of the palace's gate. It only meant that another day of field training came to an end.
The knights and trainees were let in once the gate was wide open.
It was another calm day of wandering around Kardia, trying to help those in need and stop the smallest crimes.
Right before the guards closed the gate, two horses where racing towards the gate.
They recognised those faces while they got closer, it was no other than than the two married hunters.
Alex and Rose.
Since they knew that the situation in the palace was chaotic, they did not want to make their way in through without passing by the gates.
The red haired knight's worries grew faster once he saw them. And without saying another word, he jumped off his horse and rushed inside the palace.
Ezra knew exactly what was going on and so he took care of everything else for his friend, hoping for things to go easy on them.
The hunters were easily let in and guided by one of the guards towards the king's throne room while another guard went to inform Leo of their arriving.
Asher slammed Louis's room open, it was empty, yet he still looked around every corner that could possibly hide a human being.
Yet he found nothing.
The second prince's sweat dropped on his new training room's floor.
Yet Ivor stood just fine, after dodging all of those attacks.
"You have to find the gap"
The advisor said.
'He makes it sound easy while I have been trying for how many hours now'
Louis thought to himself.
'Flawless, this man is flawless with every move'
The prince thought once more. Ivor never initiated an attack and yet reading and expecting Louis's movements seemed to be very easy for him to do.
His first task was to touch Ivor. Sounded pretty funny at first. it was a closed room, and Louis was good at playing tag so he thought there was nothing challenging about it.
"I think this is enough for today prince Louis, the sun is about to set"
Ivor said while walking towards the secret door and opening it. Allowing Louis to head out first before closing it again.
'I thought he would give up but he did not even take any break'
Ivor thought as he sat down on his chair facing his desk. A lot of papers and letters left on his desk by the guards.
He sighed knowing that he was going to spend yet another sleepless night.
"See you tomorrow. Have a good evening"
The prince said before he left.
'I smell awful'
Louis thought to himself before rushing towards the girls chamber.
The lovely females were hanging out together and having fun while waiting. Not knowing if their beloved prince would show up or not.
Since they knew how busy he was, yet he always tried to spare them sometime in order for them to be able to stay in the palace as his property which would keep them safe from Leo.
Louis knocked on the door and Violet was the first to rush towards the door.
Nothing was in sight until she looked left and right.
"My prince?"
She said.
"I need to talk to Clair"
Louis replied.
"She headed to your room earlier to get your bath ready"
Once Violet relied, he thanked her and walked back towards his room.
Clair knocked on the room's door knowing very well that no one would be there.
So she let herself in.
But to her surprise, Asher was standing right there.
"Where is the prince?"
The red haired knight immediately asked.
And even though she was surprised, she knew that Asher was Aylin's father and so she politely replied,
"He said he would be busy but am sure he will be back soon, you can wait here, I will get the bath ready"
Clair replied while stepping into the bathroom, she started heating up the water and filling the bath, adding Louis's favorite scents and putting the towels in their place.
She suddenly heard a knocking on the door and immediately knew that the prince was there.
Clair stepped outside of the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Once she turned around she was caught in a terrifying scene.
Asher grabbing Louis by the collar, they both looked pretty serious at the moment.
"I warned did I not?"
The red haired knight said in anger.
He knew very well that it was game over for them since two hunters came back to find Aylin and Elione.
"PUT HIM DOWN"
The two shouted at the same time, without even seeing each other.
Ezra who just walked in rushed towards Asher, and took his hand off the prince, trying to calm him down.
Clair was already checking on Louis, he had a slightly red mark on his neck because his collar tightened while grabbed by Asher.
"Are you alright my prince?"
Clair asked in worry.
"Yes"
Louis replied.
He was going to ask her for something but the timing was off.
"You can head back to the chamber, I will be there in a moment"
The prince then said, his smile was very comforting which made her listen to his words.
Her heart was still worried that she could not care about Ezra's presence, and just like that Clair left the room.
"Are you insane? and there you keep telling me to treat him like a prince?"
Ezra complained, while his friend came back to his senses.
He was still mad, but blaming Louis could not have saved Aylin.
"I just need a quick bath"
Louis said while walking towards his closet.
"Is he serious?"
Ezra asked.
Seeing Louis pick up some clothes from his closet, walking towards the bathroom, locking the door and hearing the water flows answered his question.
"Let's go get Aylin"
Asher replied while trying to walk away.
Ezra stopped him immediately.
"She is not in her room, Louis might be the only one who knows where she is"
He then said.
Which made Asher angrier.
The two knights waited for about thirty minutes, the second prince walked out, his hair was still a little wet even though he tried drying it out with a towel.
But he was very satisfied about the way he smelled and looked.
"Now, Let's go get Aylin out of the palace, follow me"
Louis said while walking away, followed by the two knights who were on their nerves, wishing to hear of what he had planned out...
