~Faith's POV~

A week can pass by only so quickly. During this week, things happened. The virus spread, and my doctors told me that if I wanted to live I could get an amputation done on my arms and legs.

You'd think I'd say yes, but I actually said no because, who really wants to suffer in life? I would rather just take the circumstances then suffer. I'm currently in the state of a coma, one of which I just randomly entered last night. My eyes haven't opened since then.

All the time, I'm hearing voices. I could hear Louis' voice, and I could imagine the way he looked like when he cried. Puffy-eyed, sniffling, snot running down nose. Sometimes I even hear my father telling me how sorry he was.

But honestly, I don't need his sympathy, because I know that I will be going to a better place any time soon.

The pain - oh, the pain is indescribable. I constantly feel like screwdrivers are being driven into me. There is also this annoying ringing noise I have in on ear. I forgot which, and there was no way for me to tell.

But after all of this pain and suffering, I did know something - there is always a life after death. Those are exactly the words of Claire. And she is right, too.

I'm probably dead by now. I mean, it's been a week and I'm in a coma. My time is very close.

I just wish that it came already.

~Louis' POV~

Ever since I found out that Faith had a flesh eating virus, I visited her every day. But each day I came, my visiting time got smaller and smaller. But of course, I didn't care.

Seeing Faith like this has to be the most painful thing ever. The way her body is practically decomposing before my eyes. Even though she is still alive.

Once I got that call from the hospital that Faith was in a coma, I rushed to the hospital and refused to leave her bedside.

"Sir." I heard a voice say. I opened my eyes slowly and noticed that I had fallen asleep, holding Faith's hand while I sat in a chair.

I turned around to see a nurse standing there. "Yes?" I said groggily. I stifled a yawn and thought about my comfy bed. But I couldn't go home. I wanted to be with Faith until the end.

"Your visiting time is up. Please exit the patient's room." She said. I nodded slowly while getting up, my eyes still on Faith. "Can I have five more minutes?" I asked her kindly.

She nodded and exited the room. I held Faith's delicate hand and looked at her perfect face. One of he only areas of her body that didn't get eaten away by the virus. "Faith," I whispered, "always remember that I love you." I kissed the top of her hand.

She moved, and I swear that she is trying to tell me that it's time. As is by magic, her eyes fluttered open. "I'll see you in your dreams." She whispered before closing her eyes for the last time.

I saw the heart monitor go flat, and that was when a bunch of nurses came in, who were trying to revive her.

I didn't cry. I didn't beg for her to come back.

Because we both new that there was a life after death.

And this life is in my dreams.
