I make my way to 6th period. Once I've opened the door, I hear a room filled with people chattering and I see no teacher. What I also unfortunately notice is my pack of friends sitting altogether at the tables in back of the room. Soon enough, one looks up and the domino effect takes place, all eyes on me. I take a seat in the front row to the farthest left. I'm sitting right in front of the teachers' desk but before I realize and move, the teacher whisks his way in and I lose all track of thought.
"Hello students, my name is Mr. Merkert and I will be your Earth Science teacher for the next 10 months."
He makes his way to his desk and sits.
"Now, time for attendance."
