I'm bumped into and walked on. I know i'll have a bunch of bruises after this. As soon as I recover, my friends walk out in a huddle group.
Now's my chance!
"Hey guys!"
"What happened to you?"
"People."
"Oh, well you missed a lot. Also, your lip looks no better than before. To be completely honest it looks worse."
Wow, that's almost exactly the same I said to myself.
"Yeah, she put this stuff on it and I had a reaction so she just left it."
They all look away.
"I better go in there and get everything."
"Yeah, we'll go too."
I go for the door so I don't have to watch them leave.
He sits at his desk looking down at his phone. He looks up to see who has disturbed his space.
"I came back from the nurse but it looks like I came back a little too late."
My heart pace has slightly increased but I try to be as calm as possible. I don't want to look like complete weirdo in front of him.
"That's ok, all you need are these papers." He motions to 2 stacks of paper. I take one of each.
"It doesn't look like your lip got any better."
I feel my heart begin to race.
I blush.
Calm down it was just a little comment about your lip and it's true! But, the way he said that was soooo sexy and I can't help myself.
"Yeah, I had a reaction to the lip thing."
"Ok, well make sure to get that one paper signed. I'll see you tomorrow. Oh and we have double periods so you'll be here twice a day."
"Ok, bye."
I walk outside of the classroom and exhale. Yet again, I've managed to not breath for the duration of our conversation.
