I glance at my phone with wide eyes. My heart is racing a mile a minute and my hands are starting to sweat.
Patrick touches my knee. "Are you ok babe?"
I try to answer him but my throat is dry and it fills like something is stuck. I nod my head and force a smile.
I watch as Patrick eyes me for a moment longer before answering his father.
Ding.
Get up and tell everyone you are going to the restroom. Walk straight past the kitchen and make a right down a long hall. There will be a large library. Don't tell anyone about these messages or there will be consequences.
I swallow the lump in my throat and in lean in to whisper to Patrick.
"I'm going to run to the bathroom." I whisper in his ear.
Patrick eyes me curiously and I know he wants to ask a million questions. I need to make him believe everything is ok. I can't let anyone get hurt. I can't.
I quirk my lip up at the side and lean back in. "Check on me in 10 minutes. I love you." I say softly.
I stand and watch Patrick smirk.
"Excuse me." I announce.
I take my phone with me and follow the directions the message had. I pass the kitchen and walk down the long hallway. My stomach is turning, my head is swirling with a 100 thoughts. I make it to the library and open the door. I walk in and see it's pitch black.
"Hello?" I call out hesitantly.
I hear footsteps and gasp.
"Aren't you a good girl." A masculine voice says. A voice I'm all too familiar with.
I feel hands against my waist.
"Let me go Marcus!" I bitterly tell him.
He pulls me against his body.
"Now, now. Let's not say something that might jeopardize the lives of the people you love." He breathes against my neck.
I close my eyes and try to force myself not to do anything that he won't like.
I let out a shaky breath. "What do you want?"
Marcus laughs. Actually full on hysterically laughs. "It's quite simple what I want my sweet Ally." He says while cupping my cheek.
My eyes widen. I can't see his face but I can almost picture his eyes wild and crazy with a smirk plastered on his face.
"And what-" I'm interrupted by his lips pressed against mine. I don't return the kiss but that doesn't stop his hands from roaming to my backside and squeezing. I close my eyes tightly, trying to hold back the tears that want to fall.
This all feels so wrong. He shouldn't be touching me. He shouldn't be kissing me. I'm betraying Patrick. But I'm saving him by doing this.
He breaks away from me and pulls me somewhere. My legs work double time to compensate for his fast speed. With my heels it's much harder to keep up. My back hits a wall and I feel Marcus's body pressed against mine.
"I want you to listen to me. And listen carefully." He bites out.
I nod my head and watch as the moonlight casts a dark look on Marcus.
He pushes against me and locks his fingers around my throat causing my breathing to become difficult.
"Answer me bitch!" He yells as he squeezes my throat harder.
