“Oooooowkaaaay. Guys kanino galling ‘to?”
“Actually, akalain mo ‘yun parehas din kami ng tanong sa’yo.” Chelle.
“Seriously?! Baka naman ‘di ‘to para sakin.”
“Actually, galing ‘yan sa isang cute na bata. Pinapabigay daw kay Ivy Bennett. Edi ba ikaw ‘yun kaya malamang para sa’yo ‘yan.” Schelle.
“Sinong bata naman yun?”
“Actually di namin pa nae-encounter yung bata na ‘yun so probably di siya dito nag-aaral sa school natin.” Shelle.
I was full of confusion that time kasi yung hand writing nung kaninang letter na natanggap ko at ngayon ay parehas.
“So kilala mo na kung kanino galling ‘yan?”
“Nope. Not even a hint.”
“So ‘yung kwento mo?”
“Tss, kahit kalian talaga kayong tatlo basta chika ‘di makakalimutan.”
“Naman! Kwento na dali!”
I told them about what happened to me on my trip and I also told them everything I learned from Theo and such. Kinilig pa nga daw sila nang marinig nila ang moments namin ni Theo. Pero ako, no comment lang that time kasi nga, I’m confused.
“Alam mo Bibie, feeling ko may gusto sa’yo si Theo.”
“Oo nga kasi kita mo marami siyang alam about you.”
“Not to mention na willing talaga siya na bigyan ka ng private tour sa entire place.”
Nginitian ko lang silang tatlo at napaisip ulit kung sino si PYG at FTFW. I decided to look for an answer to the riddles on my hand; the letters.
‘Never on low….’
Dumaan nanaman ang dalawa pang subjects na lutang ako sa kakaisip kung sino ang mystery guy. I guess I really have to be at school’s ground later to find out who he was, I told myself.
“Guys, ang ganda kamo ng view pala sa roof top ng school natin. I’ve been kasi kaninang break time tapos ang hangin pa then ‘yung view from a far ang astig! I even took a photo of it.” I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on their conversation pero parang something shake the heck out of me upon hearing the word ‘roof top’ and ‘view from a far’.
Finally, my most awaited moment had come. ‘Di ko actually maintindihan non ang timpla ng buong student body ng school. Everyone’s rushing to reach the ground floor, smiling freakishly as they passed me. At first I thought parang may dumi ako sa mukha pero naalala ko ‘yung about kay PYG at FTFW and that made me realized the reasons why they were acting so dang weird.
Bago ko tuluyang pumunta sa quadrangle, pumunta muna ko saglit sa roof top to look if He is there. Habang paakyat na ko ng roof top, parang kinakabahan ako, no wait, kabadong kabado pala talaga ako to the point na halos mabasa na ng sobra ang towel ko ng dahil sa pawis ko dala ng sobrang pagkakaba.
As I reached the last stair ng roof top, napatigil ako for awhile. I’m not sure of what I could see behind the door I was facing that time, pero out of the blue I remembered something, ‘If you’re afraid to face what might be behind it, try releasing a heave sigh then count one to three hope to see what you wanted to see if not, then search for it, it might be somewhere else; never surrender like a soldier fighting ‘til the last shot of its gun.’
