“Hi. Oh tapos na ‘yung meeting nyo?” Sabi ko sakanya sabay beso.
“Yup; and everyone’s approved on her presentation about the new project.”
“Oh, why everyone keeps on interrupting the story baaa~ Aunty please do finish the story first for me. So that I’ll know at the end if I should believe on true love or not.” Sabi ni Lishere; my Niece. Natawa nalang kami sa sinabi niya.
“What is it about ba baby, hmm?” He said while crouching in front of the kid as he tame her. Ang cute nya lang talaga. 14 years and counting, mahal na mahal ko parin siya. Sheeyt, kinikilig parin ako oh gosh, wag niya lang sana kong mahuli na nagba-blush kundi aasarin nya nanaman ako nito.
“It’s about the love story of Ivy and Theo and I want it so bad to hear the ending of the story but you interrupt it. Aunty was about to tell the ending whether Ivy gave permission or not.” Tinignan niya lang ako at ngumiti ng malapad bago pa man sagutin ang tanong ng bata.
“Oh that. Uncle knows the ending.”
“Really?!” Full of joy and excitement can be seen on the little girl’s face.
“Yes Lishere, you want me to finish the story?” He said as he stand up and sit on the chair next to us.
“Yes please Uncle. Start the ending now I can’t wait to hear it!” Lishere said as she jumps up and down while holding his hands. I can say that he can be a good father.
“One frappuccino and cheese cake please.”
“Coming right up ma’am.”
“So where did you guys stop?”
“We stop at when Ivy’s about to answer the question, ‘planning your goal for the future with Theo Drake Cameron will you give permission’ part.” Nagulat kaming pareho dahil sa sinabi ng bata.
“You memorized it already?!”
“Yes Aunty that’s how focus I was on listening to your story. Can you please start telling the story now? I’m so excited na po talaga.” Natawa nalang kami sa sinabi ng bata. Lahat nalang ata ng makakarinig ng story ay name-memorize ang line na ‘yun.
“Ilang taon na ulit si Lishere, hon?” Pabulong na tanong niya sakin.
“4 years old hon. Madaldal lang din talaga tulad ng nanay niya.” Bakas sa mukha niya ang pagka-amaze sa sinabi ko. Sino ba naman ang mag aakala na si Lishere ay 4 years old lang na sobrang bihasa sa pagsasalita ng English at sobrang daldal niya.
Perfect blend kasi ang parents niya. ‘Yung nanay niya madaldal, maganda, mabait, matalino, then sakto lang ang height. Habang ang tatay niya tahimik, gwapo, masungit, matalino at matangkad. Opposite man, perfect blend parin ang kinalabasan ni Lishere.
“Well you see baby, Theo was so worried that time ‘cause he doesn’t know what would Ivy’s answer.”
The children stopped playing, the crowd was full of girls, the boys were trying not to watch the moment, the teachers stopped eating and watched from a distance, in short, everyone’s attention was focused on the scenery at the school’s ground. Oh God, please do not fail me this time. I can barely hear a single noise because of too much silence filled the place.
Damang dama ko ang sobrang kaba ng dibdib ko. Haay, buti nalang napaka ganda niya talagang titigan. Woooh! Kaya ko ‘tong sabihin sa kanya ng malakas, walang alinlangan sa harap ng maraming tao!
Ever since that day I‘ve met her at the beach doon ko lang napatunayan na may lakas din pala ako ng loob na makausap siya. At first I thought na susungitan niya lang ako at itataboy kasi nga sobrang depressed siya dahil kay Patrick pero hindi, she wasted her time with me for a whole day. Buti nga hindi siya nagtaka kung bakit ang dami kong alam about her. Akala ko nga ‘yun na ‘yung una’t huli naming pag uusap pero hindi.
