This is a chapter I originally wanted to include but didn’t! Just a reminder—I’m still new to this, and these bonus chapters are scenes I wish I had added to the book. Whenever I decide to rewrite it, I’ll be sure to include them.
For now, enjoy! This chapter takes place after Ares and Estelle.
Tiberius POV
“I found the stalker.”
Killian tossed a folder onto my desk before making himself at home on my couch, stretching out like he owned the damn place.
I quirked an eyebrow. “That was fast.”
He smirked. “It’s me.”
Flipping open the folder, I skimmed through the details, my mind already calculating how to handle it. Before I could respond, the door burst open, and I barely suppressed the groan that crawled up my throat.
Chloe.
Her long red nails clicked against the desk as she stepped inside, fake tears shimmering in her green eyes. “Tiberius, please, just hear me out.”
I leaned back in my chair, my patience already thinning. “What the fuck do you want, Chloe?”
She flinched at my tone but quickly recovered, pushing her bottom lip out like it would do something to me. “I made a mistake,” she whispered. “Leaving you was the worst decision of my life. I know I fucked up, but we can fix this. We were meant to be, Tiberius.”
I snorted. “Meant to be? Is that what you tell yourself at night?”
“Tiberius, please,” she pleaded, stepping closer, but I held up a hand.
“You’re wasting your time.”
Her eyes flashed with desperation. “I’ll do anything,” she said, voice turning sultry. “You know no one else can please you like I can.”
I was about to shut this shit down when the door opened again, and the atmosphere in the room shifted.
Estelle.
She didn’t have to say a word. The way she stepped inside, her head high, her dark brown skin glowing under the light, was enough to remind everyone who the fuck she was. A queen walking into a room of peasants.
Chloe turned, her eyes narrowing. “Oh, great,” she sneered. “Here comes the replacement.”
Killian let out a low whistle and, to my utter fucking disbelief, pulled out a bag of popcorn from his jacket.
“Please, don’t let me interrupt,” he said, tossing a kernel into his mouth.
Estelle didn’t even look at him. Her attention was fully on Chloe. “You still don’t know when to quit, do you?”
Chloe scoffed, crossing her arms. “I don’t answer to you.”
“No, but you’re standing in my husband’s office, begging like a desperate little bitch,” Estelle shot back, her tone smooth, lethal.
Killian let out a dramatic *oof* as he chewed. “Damn, she went straight for the throat.”
Chloe’s face twisted with anger. “You don’t deserve him,” she spat. “You’re just some plaything he picked up to replace me.”
Estelle took a step forward, and for the first time, I saw a flicker of doubt in Chloe’s eyes. “I don’t have to prove myself to a bitter ex who can’t accept she was tossed aside.” She tilted her head. “But if you’re that pressed about it, maybe you should ask Tiberius who he’d rather have in his bed every night.”
