A/N Dedicating this chapter to purity-ring . She still supported me ;). Who knew it was so hard to find titles for chapters. AHAHA okay not even funny girl :-/ Let's start!
It was 8:35 after Rick paid the money for the foods and preparation. He and I both got into his car and he drove us out of Beach Rock's car park and onto the main road.
"This is really exciting!" I exclaimed because it really was. My parents didn't have twitter so obviously they still didn't know what happened yet, and this also meant we had to tell them face to face. Nerve racking but exciting. I'm sure my mum would be thrilled.
"Sure is baby." He answered.
We kept driving for another 5 minutes then turned right and stopped outside my house's huge gates.
I pressed the button to scroll the car window down. Old Ben was inside the guard room, located a few metres away from the gate, and was talking to the other guards.
Like a professional, he saw me straight away and opened the gates. I pressed the button again so it'll pull up the window.
Rick reached for my hands and squeezed it while the other hand was on the steering wheel.
"Everything will be alright. Your parents will be so happy, hopefully," Rick said. This time it was my turn to squeeze his hands. I could sense how nervous he was.
"Don't worry, they love you," I said which was true.
My dad favoured Rick as he thought Rick was hilarious and his pun jokes were just...ugh sick! My mum on the other hand saw this sweet natured guy that would take care of the Frathom's only daughter, which is correct. Both of them were correct actually. If only Jeffrey was like them.
Rick parked his car in front of my house then threw the keys at Dom and told him to move the car for him.
Dom was my assigned driver so he would only listen to my orders. He didn't move until I told him the exact same thing.
"Move Rick's car for him please."
Dom left after a slight nod. Rick took my hands and we both walked up the stairs to the double front door.
The guard at the door opened it for us as we finished the last couple of steps.
"Welcome back Miss Frathom," the guard, Gary, said.
"Hi Gary and call me Milly," I told him for the hundredth time. He smiled and gestured towards the open door. Rick and I walked in together and heard the door shut behind us.
"He didn't greet me at all. No eye contact or anything. Is that allowed?" Rick asked me. I rolled my eyes.
"Rick. He can greet anyone he wants but it's just mandatory that he greets my family. Become one of us and he'll greet you," I said, smirking.
Rick chuckled and shook his head.
"Alright!" he said.
We entered the living room after turning left. Mum and dad were sitting on the comfortable armchairs they got at an auction off. Jeffrey and I couldn't stop laughing when they came back smiling like young kids when they are given tons of candies on halloween.
"Mum, dad, I'm home," I said. I spotted Jeffrey laying on his back and reading a book on the long sofa.
My parents turned around and smiled warmly at us.
"Welcome back dear. Come in Rick, would you like a cup of tea?" My mum asked.
"No that's alright Mrs Frathom. I'm still so full from eating at Beach's Rock."
