A/N  HELLLLLLLLLLO! Ready? Chapter START :D

*One day after*

-Hey where are you?- - Me [10:00]
-Hey honey where are you?- - Me [10:30]
-Rick, are you ok? Call me.- - Me [11:05]
-Babe are you ok? Omg. Are you ok????!!!- - Me [12:00]

I placed my phone on my bedside table, knowing full well that I would check it again in 30 minutes or so. Where was Rick? I had texted him all morning, wondering if he would like to have lunch together. I wanted to surprise him with what I was going to be ordering but that obviously wouldn't work now that he won't reply to me.

My stomach rumbled. I groaned and walked downstairs. My mother was sitting on one of the pair of armchairs she and dad got at the auction. She looked up from her iPad as I walked into the living room.

"Hey, what's with the look?" She asked.

"I texted Rick all morning but he hasn't replied. I'm half worried and and half angry cause I really wanted to see him today," I replied grumpily.

My mum looked at me in surprise.

"I thought you knew! Dad and Rick left early this morning for the US," she said.

I widened my eyes.

"What? Why?" I asked her. Rick hadn't texted me at all since I last saw him the other night after we annouced our engagment. I thought he was just shy, not preparing to fly 10 hrs to the US.

"It was actually quite sudden. Dad needed urgent help with the company last night and Rick volunteered rightaway. The boy got the blood for these type of things," my mum told me.

"When would they be back?" I asked, hoping for a satisfying answer.

"I'm sorry dear but they're going to be away for two to three months," mum replied. I gaped at her. Two to three months! What was I suppose to do about the wedding?

"But the wedding...,"

"Did Rick really not tell you anything? I voiced the same thing and he said you'll be fine with it. I thought he checked with you. I'll give dad a call now and see what he can do," mum pondered and fished around for her phone.

As much as I wanted to be with Rick, I knew how much he loved working. It was his joy and I couldn't bare seeing him stop doing something he loves for my own selfish self.

"No! It's fine mum. I guess this is good. With Rick gone, I would focus on the weight loss more effieciently. This is a good thing! I can surprise him when he gets back!," I exclaimed in excitement.

Mum laughed, amused with my sudden change of tone. My stomach rumbled again. After a light breakfast this morning, oatmeal and a glass of water, I haven't ate since.

"Go eat something nice. I'll see you in a bit," mum told me then walked off into the study. I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone in case Rick called.

Gary opened the front door for me just as I got there. He gave me a smile, which I returned, as I walked pass.

Without even needing me to call, Dom walked out of the house that he shares with Kai, another driver for the family, and headed for the black car, parked next to the house. The house was built specifically for drivers to be on standby. The older drivers tended to stay in their own homes with their families rather than live-in like these two.
