6. Waited

Tinitingnan ko ang listahan ng mga reservations sa Squisito para sa mga susunod na araw ng mag ring ang phone ko. I can't help but feel nervous and excited nang makita kong local number na ni Apollo ang nasa screen ko so ibig sabihin ay nasa Pilipinas na siya. He had been in Canada for eleven days and now he is back.

Wala naman kaming malinaw na usapan kung ano na ang estado ng relasyon namin. When I kissed him that day he told me he liked me ay hindi na kami nakapag-usap because we busied ourselves doing 'physical activities' hanggang sa kailangan na niyang umalis para sa flight niya. I can even remember he reluctantly leave the apartment. Kung hindi pa siya tinawagan ng daddy niya to remind him how important it is for him to go back ay hindi na lang sana siya aalis.

For eleven days ay halos hindi ko na inilalayo ang phone sa tabi ko because he calls or text me everytime he got a chance and it really made me so giddy. I took a deep breath to calm myself bago ko sinagot ang phone ko.

"Hi" bati ko sa kaswal na tono kahit na ang totoo ay parang may isang daang tambol na pinapalo sa loob ng dibdib ko.

"Hi chef, I'm back" he said energetically

"So it seems" I answered grinning. I'm just too happy right now that he is back and I'm hearing his sexy voice kahit sa phone lang.

"Missed me?" his tone hopeful

"A bit" I answered teasingly

"Aw! That's unfair coz I missed you so bad" he sounded hurt and I don't know how but I can feel him grinning in the other line too. I knew he is just teasing me back.

"Ano yan kanta?" natatawa ko pa ring biro sa kanya "I missed you so bad I missed you so so bad Before you came into my life I missed you so bad And you should know that So call me, maybe" pagkanta ko sa awit ni Carly Rae Jepsen. Sa halos araw-araw na pag-uusap namin ni Apollo sa phone I was really getting so comfortable with him na para bang kami lang dati before he left to Canada two years ago. Para bang walang taong nagdaan na hindi kami nag-usap. What we are now is like so normal.

"Chef, magluto ka na lang huwag ka nang kumanta. Para kang tunog kawaling nag-uumpugan. Kawawa eardrum ko sa boses mo" biro niya sa kabilang linya and I can feel him grinning.

"Sira ulo ka" natatawa kong wika. Alam ko naman na sintunado ako pero kailangan pa ba niyang ipamukha sa akin. "I don't sing that bad" kunwariy nasasaktan kong wika at nag pout pa ako kahit hindi naman niya ako nakikita

"Stop pouting it makes me want to kiss those lips" he said and I gasped when I only don't hear his voice in the line but in my office door.

"Y-you're here" I said breathing hard and really surprised that I almost dropped my phone

"So it seems" he answered grinning giving my words back at me. Bago pa ako makasagot ay nasa harap ko na siya. He pulled me closed to him and kissed me like his life depended on it leaving me breathless after.

"You really did miss me." I said grinning despite that I'm catching up my breath when he finally let go of my lips.

"I told you I did." He said and caressed my face. His touch is too soft, too gentle and I found myself leaning my face to meet his gentle caress. "I just dropped by to see you but I need to go for now. Kuya Hit had been pestering me about this property he bought somewhere in Palawan and he wants my engineering expertise to make a plan for whatever it is he had in mind. I have to go and see the place"

I frown, "Now? Pero kararating mo lang. Hindi ka ba magpapahinga muna?" concern kong tanong. He just travel from Canada to here tapos aalis na naman dahil sa kapritso ni Haring Cobra.
