8. Playful Evils

It was about one in the afternoon ng makarating ako sa Squisito. Pagkapasok ko ay hindi naman ako nahirapang makita ang sadya ko. Chrezzy is talking seriously with Argon but when she sees me her face turns into an angry amazon warrior. She was looking at me like she wants to skin me alive and wow she really look hot when she is angry.

She said something to Argon and went to her office. I gave Argon a quick wave before following her. One thing I like about Chrezzy is her fierceness pero iyon din ang nakakatakot sa kanya. I knew she is mad but I don't know what she will do to me right now.

I took a deep breath before opening the door of her office. I was expecting it to be locked but to my surprise it's not. My eyes went wide when I saw a flying object or rather a thick recipe book in my direction. On instinct I cover my face with my arm to avoid the hit on my handsome face but the book went on my left shoulder and I hissed in pain. Chrezzy was smiling evilly with my reaction. Dear Lord! kung wala lang akong kasalanan sa kanya ay gusto ko siyang sakalin sa ngayon but I think I deserve to be in her receiving end of anger.

All of a sudden her expression changes from a battling winning amazon to those of a scared kitten. Her eyes wide with fear and worry while looking at my shoulder. When I look at it ay basa na ang damit ko sa parteng iyon ng balikat ko ng dugo.

"Ohh my God" wika niya habang itinakip ang kamay sa bibig. "I'm sorry. I didn't know na ito ang maging resulta ng ginawa ko. I'm so sorry oh God" her tears are now streaming down her beautiful face.

"Hey it's alright chef. Just help me clean it baka mainfect ang sugat ko." I told her in soothing voice. The last thing I want her to feel is to blame herself or worry about me.

"Yes of course." Natataranta niyang wika habang hinahalungkat ang cabinet niya. A moment later ay may nailabas siyang medicine kit. She asked me to sit down para hindi siya mahirapan na gamutin ako dahil sa tangkad ko. She unbutton my Polo and took it off. She frown ng makita niyang may bandage and balikat ko na napuno ng dugo marahil dahil sa impact ng pagtama ng makapal na pesteng recipe book sa balikat ko. "What happened?" nag-aalala pero halatang mas curios siyang malaman kung anong nangyari sa balikat ko.

I gave her a small sheepish smile. I don't think she will like hearing this but hey I can't lie to her now. Hindi ko na sana sasabihin sa kanya ang tungkol dito pero wala na akong choice dahil nakita na niya ang sugat ko. "I was shot last night."

"Whaaattt?" She exclaimed horriefied while I have to crunch my face dahil sa tinis ng boses niya. Women! Why do they often scream? "Bakit ka binaril?" she asked frowning worriedly pero ilang segundo lang ay napalitan ng tinitimping galit ang mga mata niya. "Alam mo hindi ko talaga alam kong maawa ako sa iyo ngayon o magagalit o kaya matuwa sa nangyari sa iyo. Baka akala mo hindi ko alam kung saan ka nagpunta kagabi. Nakakarma ka na Apollo" nanggigil niyang wika sa inis o galit sa akin.

I grinned "I really like it when you're angry. You look hot" Half pambobola half true kong saad sa kanya. I can't argue to her now coz she knew I was here since last night.

"Stop sidetracking me Apollo. Ano ang nangyari sa iyo?" gigil niyang tanong. Napangiwi ako sa sakit at hapdi ng maramdaman kong idiniin niya ang bulak na ipinanglinis niya sa sugat ko.

I sighed. It's time for some explanation pero hindi ko alam kung ano ang magiging verdict ni Chrezzy sa akin pagkatapos nito. "It was late when I get back from Palawan due to the weather condition. I asked Hector to get me para mapuntahan lang kita but I didn't know that there was an arrange boys night out last night. I was about to come to your apartment but I didn't have my car at wala rin ang driver ko. Hector offered me a ride but he had to pick up a girl in SkyHigh Club." I said and look at her when she stopped cleaning my gunshot wound. She gave me a nod telling me to continue. "When we got there the girls he was about to pick up were already flirting with a group of guys but leave them when they saw us. When Hector was driving the car towards your apartment he suddenly stopped and told the girls to leave because we are being followed. Just as about they got in a taxi and drove away ay saka naman dumating ang isang kotse at pinaulanan kami ng bala. That's how I get this gunshot wound."
