The big day was here, first day of senior year. I dragged myself out of bed going in the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth, washed my face, ya know normal morning routine type things. I decided to wear a plain white tshirt, jeans, maroon vans, and a black snapback.

I went down stairs to get breakfast. My mom was cooking for my little sister, Ellie.

"Hi Ellie.", I said pinching her cheeks. She's 5 years old and is honestly the best little sister. She like worships me, and I'm her influence. My hate the fact that I am, but she has to deal.

"Hi Jack", she exclaimed putting on her snapback. I got her a similar one to mine because she was gonna cry in the store if I didn't get her one. As you can tell, I have a soft spot when it comes to my sister.

"Your dad left for work already, but said he'll see you at dinner.", my mom told me as she was packing El's (short for Ellie) lunch.

I nodded as a grabbed a orange juice and a granola bar. "Ok I'm out. See you guys later", I smiled kissing El and my mom on the cheek.

I grabbed my keys and walked out the door to my car. The school wasn't that far away so I was in no rush.

10 minutes later I pulled up in the parking lot. I had a special spot reserved just for me and all my friends were waiting for me near it.

I got out the car grabbing my stuff. "Wassup boy", Sam said giving me a bro hug. "Aye man", Nate and Johnson said.

We started walking down the hallway then the girl I dumped, Angela, walked up to me. "Jack I'm sorry. Give me another chance!", she said grabbing my arm. I broke her release. "Sorry but as I said yesterday, we're done. Over. Finito. Get it yet?", I said to her. She ran away in tears. She could've saved herself the embarrassment.

The bell rung and we all split up going to our classes. I was walking down the hall and accidentally ran into a girl making her drop her stuff.

"Ugh watch where your going!", she said sounding frustrated. She bent down to pick up her stuff. I decided to help her up. "Sorry bout that", I said as I looked at her full face and body.

She had shoulder length dark brown hair, gorgeous brown eyes, and a body to kill for.

"You look lost.", I said slightly laughing. "Yeah, maybe the fact that I'm new helps.", she said looking down at her schedule, slightly laughing.

I took a look at it and she was a senior as well. This just gets better. "Um it's 1st period now and you have Mr.Jones for math. So do I. You can walk with me if you want.", I suggested. "That would be great", she said smiling, getting her stuff together.

"So what's your name?", I asked making small talk. "Lydia.", She said smiling looking at me, "What about you?" "Jack", I replied smiling at her. It was silent after that til we made it to the classroom.

"Mr. Gilinsky, you're late", Mr.Jones said. "Sorry I uh-", I stopped as he interrupted me. "And you are?", he asked. "New. I'm Lydia Forbes.", she spoke handing him her schedule. "Oh Ms. Forbes, welcome. It's not a good habit to be late, or be around him", he said giving me a look. The class softly chuckled. She laughed, "He actually was helping me figure out my schedule so that's why he was late too", she added.

There was a seat next to me and she sat there. Sam was across the room mouthing to me 'hit that'. I just chuckled.

It was lunch time and we were all out on the patio. Lydia walked past us to sit with a group of people, guess she made friends fast.

"Damn dude can you stare any harder", Johnson laughed taking a bite of pizza. I should my head out of my daze. "As I said before, hit that dude", Sammy chimed in. I looked at her again. She was laughing and she looked so perfect while doing so. "Nah man she's not my type", I said shaking my head.

But on the contrary, she was my type. However, not someone I would hit it and quit it on. Something was special about her. I liked how I felt when I was with her. Most people see me as the fuckboy, even if they don't say so. But her perspective of me was innocent and I liked that, and wanted to keep it that way.

"Nah man you're just scared of rejection. A smokin hot girl like that must have standards and won't fall for you", he said laughing. I gave him a look. "I bet you can't string her along like the rest of your other girls and then drop her, breaking her heart. 100 bucks.", he said sweetening the deal. "Fine. Deal.", I said shaking his hand.

I just hope that what I feel with her goes away because I knew if I even had a little bit of feelings for her that I might just lose this bet.
