Depression is like an ugly face in the mirror
You cover it with make up
A mask.See... This is how you'll never know who has this mental illness
Depression eats you from the inside out
These victims tell their words as if they where living in a dream but in reality the nightmare never endsThey smile but beneath that smile they are dyeing
They take pills to stop the numbness coming back
They get dependent on the pills to help the mask stay on for that little longer until they are alone, when they feel dead.
They are the kindest to other because they understand what is to feel like to be alone. What would you do waking up alive in a hospital bed with a drip going through your blood stream
The sad part is
They want to die.
They hate the mask.
They hate not feeling real.
They hate their life.
They think they are worthless.
They despise themselves. Why am I never happy? Am I broken? What's wrong with me?
These word forever echo throughout their empty heads; a broken record on repeat. So some torcher their own limbs.
They cut.
They cut to feel human.
They cut to see the blood dribble out of the fresh wound like tears from their eyes.
They cut to stop the numbness.
They cut, but cutting becomes their drug; they need to cut to survive because cutting has become their drug.
But even largest doses of your drug gets weaker with time.
When this happens... When the cutting becomes meaningless? When the numbness and sadness starts to settle in?That's when you know your Depression has gotten the best of you.
It has killed of that beautiful young kid everyone once knew and let you to burn out.Your pills are the only thing thats keeping you sane.
But when they are gone?Your dead.
Your dead.
Your dead.Night night.
