There are two ways I could introduce myself.
1. I'm Hayes Griers ex best friend.
2. My name is Abby Hadlem, I have no social life, I only have two friends, and my life is completely boring and uninteresting.

I sigh as I roll out of bed realizing both of these are painfully true. I slump over to my dresser and pull out a simple pair of dark washed jeans along with a dull green throw over hoodie. My usual outfit choice.

Once dressed, I brush my slimy feeling teeth. I just got my braces off yesterday and my teeth feel so damn weird. Fully concentrated on the house next door that still has no lights on, I successfully finish my French braid after redoing it a good 20 times. "Probably thinks it's a Saturday," I mumble to myself staring at Hayes Grier's window.
"ABBY, THE BUS WILL BE HERE IN 5 MINUTES," I hear my mom scream from downstairs as she snaps me out of my daze. I walk downstairs backpack already on my shoulder, as I quickly snatch a granola bar and run out the door. I glance at my phone and allow a big sigh to come out from my mouth when I realize I still have 10 minutes till the bus. Thanks mom.

"What's the exasperation?" Hayes asks with that usual smirk formed on his face.

"Wow, look who decided to go to school today," I replied rolling my eyes.

He chuckled as the bus pulled up and he jumped on the bus skipping the steps, and making his way to the back. I took my usual seat in the middle of the bus and put in my earbuds while blasting Night Changes by One Direction.

--Going out tonight

Changes into something red

Her mother doesn't like that kind of dress

Everything she never had she's showing off

Driving too fast

Moon is breaking through her hair

She said it was something that she won't forget

Having no regrets is all that she really wants--

"Hey Abby!" Someone yells and I shoot a faint glare towards the back of the bus. No one interrupts the fucking Chorus of my favorite song. My mood completely changes recognizing that deep husky voice as Hayes'.

"What the fuck do you want Hayes."

Hayes laughs and counts down

And with that, him and his other douche bag friends begin to thrown wet paper balls at me. I use my back pack as a shield and cover my ears to block out their stupid laughs. Once they stopped laughing and throwing, I knew it was time.

Apparently he doesn't know me too well to think I'd just back off him and not do something about this. I stood up from my paper ball covered seat, and swiftly walked to the back of the bus.

"She's coming over here man," one of Hayes friends remarked as Hayes' crystal blue eyes watched as I approached.

He snickered and said, "Hey babe."

I stared him straight in the eyes before I slapped him right across his precious little face. My job was done here, so I turned around and walked down the aisle of the bus right in time as we arrived at school. I heard his friends laughing at him. "Damn Hayes!" and "She's so cute when she's feisty" were only a couple of the comments I heard before I stepped off the bus and headed inside Palm Dale high school to start off this hell of a week.
