Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians or The Heroes of Olympus. Uncle Rick does.
I laid there, dying. The tunnel that had become my vision became smaller and smaller. I heard a voice cry out to me, Annabeth? At least she is safe. I couldn't feel my left arm anymore, but I'm sure it's still gushing out blood.
How I lost my arm? Why am I laying on the floor dying? Well, it's all due to everyone's favorite primordial bitch, Gaea. We were fighting her, Annabeth and I, but she was far too strong.
At one moment I had the perfect opportunity to strike the ending blow, only problem was, Gaea was also swinging her sword at a recovering Annabeth.
My instincts kicked in and I rushed to her, moving quicker than I ever had before. I pushed her out of the way with my arm, but as a result, I lost said arm.
Thankfully I managed to use my own blood that covered Gaea's sword to hold it down and I spun and sliced her head off, putting her back into a deep slumber.
My vision was gone, but I could still faintly hear her voice, her heartbroken voice. With all the might I had left in me, I tried to say one last thing. "I love you, Wise Girl." Her voice stopped and was replaced by her sobbing.
Finally that sound too began to fade away with the rest of my senses. Now I felt as if I was floating in nothingness, just a bodiless conscious. I could still think, but I didn't feel anything, and I couldn't see anything, and I couldn't hear anything aside from my thoughts.
It was as if I was floating in empty space, a blissful feeling really, considering the pain of dying. Suddenly I felt a tugging sensation. Like something was pulling me.
Soon, the tugging became a pull, then I felt as if I had been superglued to a wall and someone had chained me up to a car and was trying to pull me out. Then it stopped, and I felt as if I had broken through a barrier, the pulling had finally pulled me out.
What I saw was a birds view of where I was. I was hovering above my dead body. Annabeth was holding onto my remaining hand as Apollo was checking my vitals. He then looked up at everyone around, and sadly and slowly shook his head, signaling my death.
Annabeth lost all control of herself and fell onto my dead body, as a saddened Athena was trying to comfort her daughter and get her to leave my body.
My father, Poseidon, fell to his knees, looked up at the skies and seem to yell something, probably cursing the fates for their cruelty. I could see Zeus acting like a brother for once as he placed his hand on my father's shoulder, showing his support.
Thalia, who I had expected to go into a rage, just stood there, and began to sob almost as hard as Annabeth. Artemis walked up to her and embraced her sister. Thalia leaned on her and just sobbed into her chest.
Nico was screaming at his dad to bring me back to life, but Hades just sadly shook his head. Nico screamed, his eyes shut, trying to keep tears away, as Hades embraced his son as Nico just pounded his fists against Hades's chest. Finally he stopped, and just sobbed into his father's shoulder. Hazel walked over to her father and brother and together they mourned.
Hestia walked up to my body and placed a shroud over it, as Athena managed to pull Annabeth away from my body, she still held to my hand for dear life as she screamed and kicked with all she had.
Ares took my sword from the ground and placed it on top of my shrouded body.
Jason was holding onto Piper as she cried her eyes out. Leo was being helped to his feet by Frank as he had been injured. They both stood there, they had their differences, but they both stood there in sadness.
