Where it Began

Nobody was better friends than Paul and Nina. They've been by each other's side since kindergarten. This is where it all began...

Nina had walked in the classroom with a beautiful dress with a flower design. Her hair was in a pony tail and she had on her favorite pair of sandals. She was feeling very confident on her first day of kingergarten. Nina was assigned to sit next to a young boy named Paul Wesley. He had the most amazing emerald eyes and his hair was perfectly in place.

"Hi I'm Nina Dobrev," she smiles and waves. "Hey, I'm Paul Wesley," he smiles back,"You look pretty in that dress." He compliments her and then smiles. That was the beginning of one of the best friendships people have seen.

It was the 18th anniversary of Nina and Paul's meeting. They were still as close as ever. Nina's best friend, Candice always teased her about how they should date or how they were couple goals. Paul and Nina laughed and found it amusing. Nothing romantic ever went on between them, except for this one time. They had been dared to kiss each other when Nina was 17 and Paul was 18. People thought that they were too passionate in that kiss to not like each other. It was crazy. Everyone shipped them together, but they never dated.

Recently, Nina and Paul had auditioned for the role as Stefan and Elena in a show called The Vampire Diaries. They had no idea that they would have to be in love on the show. When they were alerted about it, they only smiled and agreed to continue and act on the show. Today, Nina and Paul had to do the last scene of Season 1 Episode 2, The Night of the Comet. The first Stelena kiss.

Nina POV
I grabbed my phone and turned my alarm off. It was 6 AM, ugh so early. I had recently started to date one of my co-stars, Ian Somerhalder. Everyone got so excited because we were all cute and our characters would be amazing together. Being on Tvd has been a dream. All the fans have been so supportive and kind. It was the anniversary of Paul and I meeting each other. It was a very important day to me. I have tons of pictures with Ian, Paul and all three of us too. We were a close group.

Candice Accola, another one of the actresses on the show who played Caroline and auditioned with Paul and me texted me at exactly 6 AM. She was my best friend. I look at the text and smile. It was a text saying Happy Anniversary Nina and Paul. Have a great time kissing each other on set today! First Stelena kiss, I can not wait to tease you about it. Love you Neens.

I get out of bed And get dressed in a red tank top with black leggings. I wrap my hair in a high ponytail and grab my phone, wallet, keys and my schedule inside my couture bag. I put on some black high heels, my sunglasses and head out the door. I automatically get blinded by the flash of a camera. Great, paparazzi is here. "Nina, how are you and Ian? Can you give us any hints about the upcoming episode? I heard it's your anniversary with Paul and you meeting. Is that true?" A billion questions were shouted out.

My tall bodyguard, Big Rob comes to the rescue and stands in front of me, along with two of my other bodyguards. Being an actor was a bit hectic at times. "I'm sorry, Miss Dobrev has to reach set. She can't answer any questions at the moment." Big Rob said and then guides me to the car, blocking out all the camera flashes. "Thank you so much." I whisper to him before getting inside the car. "It's my job Neens. Happy Anniversary to you and Paul." He says back and smiles. Then Big Rob gently closes the door and my private driver, Veronica drives away to set.

When I reach set I'm greeted my Paul. "Hey Unicorn." He smiles and hugs me. I hug him back tightly. "Hey Paulina." I was obsessed with unicorns and I still am, being my best friend and all I allowed only Paul to call me Unicorn. I'm the only one that calls him Paulina. "We have to shoot the last scene in half an hour." He informs me and I nod. "Thank you." I smile and then someone leans on me and wraps their arms around my neck from the back.

"Hey beautiful." Ian kisses me on the cheek and then lets go and turns to the front of me. "Hey handsome." I compliment him back and kiss him before I walk with Paul to the makeup room. He sits across from me to comfort and talk to me. He was all ready to start filming. As my personal hair stylist did my hair, Paul looks up at me. "Hey Nina. Happy anniversary." He smiles shyly and then gives me my favorite chocolates and a stuffed unicorn. I look at him, speechless.
