Silence.
Dead silence.
We all are sitting here, staring at each other's face but no one has the guts to spill.
Daksh bhai kept on glancing between me and Avyan with a smirk.
I was treating Avy's wounds as held the ice pack a little more closer, flinching a bit.
My heart pounded so hard I thought it might burst out of my chest. My hands were ice-cold, and my throat felt impossibly dry, even though I had just gulped down an entire glass of water. Standing in front of both our families-my parents, Avyan's parents, and, of course, my ever-annoying yet beloved brother, Daksh-I felt as if the entire world was watching me.
I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. This was it. This was the moment I had been preparing for, the moment I had dreamt about, and yet, my legs felt like they would give up on me at any second.
"Would you'll like to start or do you want me to give Avyan another punch" Daksh bhai stood up to get a glass of water.
"There's nothing to say. I love Aditi and we want to marry each other" Avyan shrugged while the elders stared at us with wide eyes.
My head snapped at him at the speed of light. I pinched him lightly before whispering "When did the marriage part come in? We just had to confess about our relationship"
He hissed a little and replied "I can't afford to loose you so it's better if we talk about our marriage also."
Even though we are already married? Freaking smart to be a CEO. Note the sarcasm!
I huffed dabbing the cotton a lot more harder than before. He winced and I immediately started dabbing softly. Fuck I can't see him in pain.
He smiled. He freaking smiled? After casually dropping the bomb on our family??
What an unsentimental smart ass devil.
"So you are saying that you both love each other" Daksh bhai repeated and we nodded.
I turned my head towards Avyan's family and rose my brows in questiong manner.
They all nervously smiled, ignoring the eye contact.
Daksh bhai cleared his throat for them to continue. They all sighed and ranted- "We've always wanted Aditi as our daughter-in-law and looking at Avyan before you'll shifted back here we thought that he'll die virgin itself. But when we saw both of them together we knew right away that our wish was going to come true."
They knew??
I was stunned.
This family has no filter at all!
Now I know from where Vihaan got his genes.
Daksh bhai and Avyan both choked out of surprise and the younger ones stiffled a giggle.
