03: Unforgetabble Memories

A knock from your door halts you from moving your heavy book case to the side. With a quick huff you dusted your hands and proceeded to open the door for the unknown guest.

You met his familiar grey eyes.

He really did came...

"Levi...." You uttered out in shock.

He glanced at you then behind your back before replying, "Are you done now brat?"

You nodded and moved to the side to welcome him in. Before closing the door you inhaled a sharp breath and followed the man's gaze.

He ran his fingers through your work desk and inspected the outcome.

"Tch... It's still dirty."

You gulped and replied a quick "I'm sorry.."

He looked at you and both held eye contact, until you looked down in embarrassment. You felt butterflies forming in your stomach and the pulsing of your heart.

"I-I need some help with that bookcase, do you mind?" You stuttered and pointed at the heavy object.

Levi's gaze changes to yours then to the book case.

He didn't utter a word and decided to follow your order. You also helped him and you both struggled with the undefinable weight. Once settled you gathered the books on the floor and slid them in the case, Levi doing the same.

You eyed the last book unknown to you that Levi was about to grab it and brushed his fingers with yours. You followed his gaze as you both stared at each other shocked. Your cheeks felt warm as your heart beats like crazy. You silently prayed that Levi wouldn't hear knowing the proximity between you both.

To void the strong gaze he was giving you grabbed the book hastily and slid it in finishing the case like a now completed puzzle.

"Thank you for the help." You croaked seemingly embarrassed as you stood up.

"Nothing a 'short man' wouldn't be able to do." He said emphasizing the word dramatically, following your pursuit.

"H-hey I thought we were already done with that." You replied biting your lips to unease your nerves.

He gave a slight smirk before turning around like nothing happened. You inhaled another breath you didn't think you were holding.

You knew it was dangerous being alone with him, yet you decided stupidly that your heart would be able to control its emotions.

Maybe because it was the fact that you missed him, and the known fact that you're crazy in love with the man. Of course there's no way you would confess to him.

You just can't, your relationship would go down hill before it even started. Not only because of your opposite characteristics but the matter that his commander/boss is none other than your brother.
