It was the same scene again. You almost forgot that you would have no control over these dreams. You ran as fast as you can, a mans panting heavily behind you.
The bitter taste of your blood resonating on your tongue. You swallowed hoping it would ease the dryness of your throat.
"Keep running dear, we're almost there." The man said he's voice giving out from the lack of air on his lungs.
"I-can't I'm tired, can't we rest father?" You croaked out slowing your pace.
He caught up to you and held your shoulders stopping you from moving any further.
"You have to listen to me, take this to your brother, he is waiting at home, go first and I'll follow after."
He handed you a small book and tucked it in your pocket.
"B-but father-"
"GO! You have to survive... you have to... for his sake.."
He wipes the tears running down your blushed cheeks. He gave you a push, you hesitating to run.
A rustle from the bushes scares you, followed by lamps quickly trailing the path. Two guys merges with guns pointed at your father. You fell down as your legs gave out.
"Give it up Smith. You can't outrun us." The man said eyeing your father like a prey.
"No but I can prove my theory is right..."
With that said he pushes you up and yelled. "(Y/n)! RUN!"
You ran as gun shots followed your trail like a wildfire.
You sat up startled awake when a loud knock was heard from your door. You wiped the bead of sweat trickling down the side of your face. You gathered yourself before opening the door for your guest.
"Good morning-! Hey are you okay?"
Erwin's expression changes upon seeing your frowning face. Usually you would greet him with a smile, but something was different today.
You forced a smile, a smile that Erwin knows is not genuine."Yeah just a nightmare..."
"Again? I thought they stopped?"
I thought so too.
"It's different, don't worry about it. Am I late for the meeting today?" You lied avoiding his question.
"No, Im here to inform you it's canceled and rescheduled tomorrow." He said nodding his head forgetting the topic a second ago.
Good, not that you want to see Levi after the little fiasco of an act you put up last night. How embarrassing.
"I see, well why don't we go to the plaza today? Are you free?" You smiled hoping he was not busy with important things.
"As a matter of fact, I actually am." Erwin smiled back he's eyes sparkling with joy.
"Great I'll just change and see you in a bit." You kissed him on the cheeks and closed the door to get ready.
______
"I didn't know they opened up these shops here." You eyed the trail of shops calling out to you from the carriage. Most of them were food, making your stomach grumble in anticipation for a bite.
"I thought you would like them, good thinking we went here." He replied as the carriage halts and he opens the door to help you down.
You ran off excitedly forgetting the tall man behind you.
