7: She's Broken

"Aaggghhh!" The screams from Red Robin were painful to listen to if you weren't a crazy clown. Sadly that's the only people that could hear as Joker slowly tore away at his mind. Erza watched wide-eyed at her Batboy. 'What have I done?' She wondered and looked down at her hands. 'I shouldn't be thinking these things.' She scolded herself. 'I'm the daughter of The Prince and Princess of Crime. I don't really care about anyone but myself. I only care about making me happy.' She thought. ~Then why are you so sad?~ One of the voices in her head asked. She looked back up at Tim. Sweet, smart Tim who didn't deserve this. She'll get him out and make him her prince eventually but for now she had to smile. And laugh. And be the insane little girl she was raised to be. ~He cares about you Erza.~ Another voice said. 'No he doesn't.' She argued with the voice. ~He was worried about you after your daddy pushed you away. Remember?~ It asked mockingly. "Shut up." She growled out loud. "That's my girl. But let him scream." Joker laughed and hit a button making a high voltage of electricity run through Tim's body. He couldn't see her through the glass but he knew she was right in front of him. He used his eyes to beg the best he could without actually seeing her. "Stop looking at me like that, Timmy." She hissed and jumped at the glass. "Erza..." His voice was broken and shaky. "She's not going to save you, no matter how much Bat mind control you use." Joker growled and pressed another button as a short but powerful shock went through the teen's body. "I would never control someone like that. Unlike you." Tim growled back. "Joker." A deep voice echoed through the underground building. "Batsy? You're a little early for the party." Joker laughed before stabbing Tim's arm as the boy yelped like a dog. "But you don't have to worry. The boy is happy." He used the blood to draw a wide on Tim's cheeks. "See he's even smiling." Tim had a broken, almost dead look over his eyes. That's when Erza finally broke too.
