14: He Helped Them

"Let me out! Let me out! Let me out!" Jaylynn continuously slammed against the bars of the cage. "Patrick! Kitty! You two will pay for this!"

"Will you shut up? Lighty is trying to rest." Chelsea growled as she kept Ansley's head in her lap. "You would need rest too if you were beat while you were already down."

"Why don't you ask my dad how that feels?!" Jaylynn punched and kicked at the bars of the cage. "How are you guys so calm?!"

"I'm trying to think of how to beat them!" Erza growled and tapped the floor of the cage. "Patrick is the smart one, but Kitty is the sneaky one."

"You obviously know the most about them so what are their weaknesses?" Chelsea asked as she kept Ansley close to her. They will pay for hurting Lighty.

"Patrick's is his emotions, and Kitty's is her lack of emotions." Erza sighed and laid down on the cage floor. Little yellow flowers started blooming on the plants in the cage.

"How is she?" Patrick asked quietly as he walked to the cage. "Is she awake?" He genuinely sounded worried.

"Just wait until I get my hands on you!" Jaylynn growled and reached for him through the bars. "You think we'll just forgive you for this?"

"No... If I were you I would hate me. I just wanted to see how she is..." He looked over Jaylynn's shoulder at Ansley and smiled.

"I love yellow..." Ansley smiled as she picked one of the yellow flowers. "They're absolutely beautiful, Patrick."

"Thanks, I try." He stood awkwardly as everyone stared at him. Jaylynn right in front of him as she stared at the taller boy. "Is there anything you guys need?"

"A way out of here would be nice." Erza shrugged and look at the flowers. "What kind of flowers are these?"

"They're just poppies." He shrugged before looking down at the ground. "Ansley, I'm really sorry for hurting you."

"How do you know her real name?" Jaylynn hissed before her eyes widened. "Did you look at us without our masks on?"

"It was Kitty's idea... Im sorry... Plus when a beautiful girl like that is on the cover of magazines it's easy to recognize." He pulled a key out of his pocket. "I'll take you to Wayne manor if you don't attack me as soon as I open this door."

"No promises." Ansley smiled as she tried to stand up. "Will you take this collar off of me?" She asked and gave him puppy eyes.

"Of course." He unlocked the cage and immediately Jaylynn punched him in the jaw. "I deserved that." He chuckled.

"I had to." Jaylynn shrugged and walked out the cage. "Your girlfriend is gonna be mad at you." The smirk she had was hard to miss.

"She's not my girlfriend." He walked over to Ansley and used a different key to take the collar. Her scars starting healing quicker, and she hugged him tightly.

"Will you carry me out of here?..." She asked and held onto him like a child would hold onto a blanket. "I'll need a little bit to get my energy back..."

"Of course, Lightspeed." He smirked and picked her up. "Follow me." He moved the plants out of their path.

"Don't drop her." Chelsea growled and pulled her mask off her face. "I'm glad I can take that thing off." She laughed lightly. Jaylynn took her helmet and mask off too.

"Do you want me to take your mask off, Lighty?" He was ridiculously sweet when he wanted to be. "Are you comfortable? Is there anything you need?" She pulled her mask off and smiled at him.

"You're gonna get poisoned, Lighty." Jaylynn hissed and rolled her eyes. "Or did Romeo give us an antidote while his partner wasn't paying attention?"

"You always know what's up, don't you?" He smirked at her. "I planned this out as soon as I realized what I did to, Lighty."

"Why did you do it?" Chelsea asked and moved next to him. "I get that you're a villain, but you've only stole and created damage. They're never been any times you've been reported to have hurt someone."

"I was mad and hurt. I wanted my friend back, but all I did was make myself feel worse." He looked up at the tunnel. "Stop."

"What's that noise?" Jaylynn reached for her side. "Oh right you took my guns. You better get those back to me a.s.a.p."

"Will you shut up?!" Patrick hissed and handed Ansley to Chelsea. "Who are you?" He asked to the shadows as vines moved around him.

"What are you doing, Patrick?" Poison Ivy came out of the shadows. "My own son is betraying me."

"Mom... I don't want to do this anymore. I want more than one friend. I want to be able to live a normal life." Patrick looked back at the girls and motioned for them to run.

The battle between mother and son was a mess of plants and left no room for the girls to run. "I blame that girl that Kitty told me about." Poison Ivy managed to get her son trapped.

"Yo, Ivy!" Jaylynn yelled to distract her. "Your son can do whatever he wants. If you have a problem with it you can go through us."

"Yeah, he doesn't have to be a villain if he doesn't want to." Erza chimed in and Ivy glared at her. "Just because he's the son of a villain doesn't make him one."

"You put that in his head didn't you? I heard about you're little rebellion against your parents. I can't believe you two actually think you'll ever be excepted as heroes." Ivy flicked her wrist up and vines tried to wrap around the four girls.

"Mom, I'm seventeen years old. I'm my own person. Why can't I choose?" Patrick was able to get free from his holds.

"Fine, you want to be a hero? Then you'll be treated like a hero." Ivy used full force this time on all the teens.

"Guys get out of the water!" Ansley called as she started to run. She ran circles around Ivy, not only making water splash everywhere but also creating electricity behind her.

"Lighty, you're already hurt! Be careful!" Erza called before Ansley threw the electricity behind her at the water in front of Ivy's feet. The both of them got shocked with enough electricity to knock a normal person out.

"What the heck, Lighty!? You could've got yourself killed!?" Chelsea yelled as Ansley got out of the water.

"I was designed to take low to zero damage from electricity." Ansley smirked and hugged her best friend. "I think the electricity opened a couple of my scars back up."

"Ansley..." Jaylynn laughed and gave her a hug. "You're face is bleeding again." Jaylynn wiped blood off Ansley's forehead.

"You recovered surprisingly quick." Patrick said awkwardly. "Why don't you run ahead to get some medical attention?"

"Because you're carrying me." She jumped back into his arms. "You did this to me so you're going to pay the price." She teased.

"Yes mam." He stated running with her in his arms. "Let's get going!" He called and the other girls ran behind them.

"I'm not joking if you drop her, I'll kill you." Chelsea warned while they ran through the sewers. However they didn't know that we're being followed by a sneaky cat.

"I'll see you at Wayne manor." Kitty laughed quietly while she hid in the shadows. "You're going to pay for betraying me, old friends."
