Forgotten Memories

Chapter 2

Rose's POV

"Who was that man,and why did he talk to me?I don't know him?",I say very confused at why this man was crying about me.

"Rose I'm afraid to tell you that you were in a very bad accident and you are suffering from a head collision and now you have amnesia",the nurse plainly responds.

I just kind of blankly stare at her still confused, I don't remember anything and it makes no sense and my head is throbbing.

"Rose dear,that man was your boyfriend,you two both got into a very severe accident last night,he's very upset right now".

"He was my boyfriend?".

"Yes dear now try to get some sleep,you look very tired".

I lay back down and close my eyes and the man sobbing in front me a couple of minutes ago is the last thing I see before I fall back asleep.

Harry's POV

"Ahhhh!!!".

"What's wrong dear are you ok?!",one of the nurses asks sympathetically.

"Yes I'm fine I've just had a bad dream".

"Ok dear,let me know if you need anything,and the doctor will be in to see you in about an hour",she smiles sweetly.

"Ok thank you",is all I say.

My face is drenched with sweat and my body is shaking from the dream that haunts me.The replay of the car wreck and her sweet face before all of this happened keeps weaving it self into my brain and I can't get it out.I blame myself for this 100%.Why couldn't I just kept my eyes on the road?I could've saved her. We could've lived our lives the way we used to and now all my hopes and dreams are shattered. Little did she know that the very next day I was going to ask her to be my wife.

"Wait,can you stop here for a minute please?",I hear a familiar voice say to someone.

I look over to find Rose outside my door looking at me,unsure of what to do.I wipe away my tears so she won't see.

"You can come in if you like",I say to her because I know she is scared.

She eases up a little and wheels slowly toward me and stops at the edge of my bed.

"Um I heard about what happened,I'm still trying to make sense of everything...is it true that I was your...girlfriend?".

I look over at her and stare deep into her eyes.

"Yes Rose it's true",I simply say because there is nothing else to say.

"Oh,I'm really sorry but I just can't think about that right now,my brain is in so many places right now I can't really think straight".

"It's ok really, it was my fault,you don't need to apologize for anything".

"Can you at least tell me what happened last night?

"Well I was driving you to the store because you said you needed a few things and I offered to drive and as I was driving I was..."

"You were what?".

"I was looking at you sleeping when I got distracted and that's when the diesel hit us".

I am crying now.I couldn't be strong enough to contain them.

"I'm so sorry Rose,I should've kept you safe".

I am full on sobbing now.And she does the least thing expected, she puts her hand on my face and wiped away the tears.

"I lobe you so much Rose,and I always will no matter what".

She doesn't say anything.Instead she just keeps her hand on my cheeks and wipes away my tears.Even when she doesn't know who I am she still loves me.I will continue fighting for her until the day I die.

"Rose dear its time to go now",I hear the nurse say.

"Ok I'm coming".

"Goodbye harry,I'll see you later",she says as she wipes my hair away from my forehead.

"Bye Rose",I smile at her and wave.

No matter what happens to that girl she still has enough love in her to at least try to love me.She will forever be with me.
