So I'm sitting in this damn hospital for hella long waiting to see Layla. I can't believe I didn't protect her, I promised her sister I would. A tear slid down my cheek and my mother wiped it. She's been watching Lyfe while I was handling all the papers.
" Son its not your fault"
" I just should of been there ma. I know I shouldn't of let her throw the damn party in the first place ma, I don't even know what happened the hospital just calls my phone saying she here"
My mom puts a hand on my shoulder and this gone sound wierd but I felt like the bad stuff I was going through wasn't so bad anymore. The doctor calls me in and I leave my mom and Lyfe in the waiting room.
" Well she's lucky the blow to her face could of fractured her skull, but it's only going to leave some swelling."
I look at her she doesn't look to good her whole face is swollen bad and she has the worst black eye I've seen in my whole entire life.
" We also performed a rape kit and we can determine she was raped while unconscious, yet from what we can tell she didn't catch any STD's "
My whole world broke when the doctor said that. Like how could I fail this little girl when I promised her sister I'd watch after her. I kneeled on the side of the bed and held her hand. Then the doctor said,
" I'm sorry you had to learn this news but she will have to come back in a week to have a pregnancy test, also we found high traces of marijuanna, cocaine, and extasy in her system."
I was shocked I didn't know how to take this. This little girl was using under my watch. I kissed her hand and she moved a little. I cried, I'm not even gone lie I cried like a baby until I heard singing. She was singing the same song she sung the day I met her and didn't know what to do with my life.
" Bryant I'm so sorry"
I didn't say anything to her I just kept a tight hold of her hand. Then a whole crowd of people come in, Kandice, my father, some of her friends and my mother.
Before Kandice even touches me my mother comes in and stands right next to me,
" Son what happened?"
I put my head down while my father shoos all her little friends into the waiting room.

My mother had a nasty look on her face while my father got angry and stepped out of the room. Kandice walked closer to her and just started crying. I mean loud sobbing ugly cries.
" Shut the hell up damn you probably the reason the shit happened."
My mom shocked everyone in the room. Even Layla I felt her heart monitor accelerate. Layla put up her hand and pointed to her room door. It was just to much shit going on for one day.
