GISELLE HAD ALWAYS HAD PROBLEM WITH CUPID, FOR MAKING HER FALL IN LOVE WITH AN UNATTAINABLE GIRL. But when things started to go her way, she had no idea what she should do.
She was stuck, confused, and honestly a little annoyed with herself.
It wasn't supposed to be this way. She wasn't supposed to be falling for you, her campus crush who sat at the opposite side of the cafeteria with your perfect little group-Yunjin, Kazuha, and Wonyoung-always laughing and making the entire room light up.
Giselle was supposed to be above this. She was supposed to be the one who stayed distant, aloof, not letting herself be swayed by the image of a smiling girl across the room.
But that's where everything went wrong.
You were so easy to look at. Effortlessly stunning. Giselle hated how you were oblivious to the way her heart fluttered every time you laughed, every time you tossed your hair over your shoulder, every time you breathed. Every single thingabout you had Giselle questioning her sanity.
Her internal monologue, however, was a lot less sweet.
She scowled at you from across the cafeteria, watching you with your friends. You were laughing at something Wonyoung said, and Giselle's irritation grew. How dare you be so happy and effortlessly gorgeous?
And that was exactly what she was dealing with-effortless. You didn't try. You didn't do anything. You just... existed. And somehow, you managed to take over every part of her mind. Every time she tried to forget about you, you popped back in, flashing that goddamn smile, and making Giselle feel like a complete idiot.
She hated it. She hated that you were so effortlessly perfect.
"Why are you glaring at the back of Y/N's head like that?" Giselle's best friend and roommate, Yu Jimin, asked, lazily tossing one of her fries into her mouth.
Giselle snapped her gaze back to her food. "She's irritating," she muttered, pushing her plate farther away in a feeble attempt to protect her food. Of course, her efforts were futile. Eventually, she just sighed and shoved the entire plate toward Jimin, who smiled in victory.
Jimin, as always, was just as irritating.
"She hasn't done anything, though?" Jimin hummed, barely sparing Giselle a glance as she turned to where you sat at the other side of the cafeteria with your usual crowd.
"That's the problem. She didn't do anything," Giselle huffed, taking a long sip of her Hi-C fruit punch. She glanced toward you again, frowning at the way your laugh rang through the cafeteria. At the way your hair fell over your shoulder. At the way you managed to be so obnoxiously beautiful.
She wanted to be mad. To be unaffected. To move on. But she couldn't.
Because the only thing you had done was make her fall in love with you. And that was what annoyed Giselle the most.
