For months I been working on my album called It's On Dr Dre 187um Killa This whole album was going to be a diss to Dre he wanted to play me and make me be the pussy nah he was the pussy and he was about to get fucked. I wanted this album to be perfect before I dropped it I needed the world to know that I was angry and I was hungry for revenge. Ren was in the studio with me listening to some of the tracks on the album when the phone rang.
"Yeah?" I said nodding my head to the music while turning it down
"Hey Eric this is Mrs.Darby"
"Aye Wuz up how you doing?"
"I'm fine I was calling to tell you that Mercedes just went into labor"
"What!? Did she have the baby already?"
"No she's having a hard time"
" I'm on my way"
"No don't stress yourself she can do it"
"No that's my child and I'm going to be there when it comes"
"Alright we're at St. Frances I'll see you when you get here"she said hanging up
"Ren I need to borrow yo whip!"
"I already know bro good luck" he said throwing me the keys
It was a 26 minute drive to Compton. When I got into the city I passed all the familer buildings from when I grew up here. Its been 2 years since I left here. I even passed my old house that I use to sale dope out of. So many memories came as I drove through the streets. Eve After Dark was closed down, I passed the park where I met Dre for the first time I even passed the spot where my cousin was shot. So many memories flooded my mind. I finally pulled up to St.Frances and I ran inside.
"Excuse me ma'me I"m looking for a patient by the name Mercedes Webster" I said out of breath to the lady at the check in desk
She looked up at me and her eyes grew big.
"OH MY GOD ! YOUR EAZY-E !!! IM SUCH A BIG FAN OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD AHHHH"she screamed so loud that people in the waiting room looked in our direction
"CAN I PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE WITH YOU OH MY GOD YOUR SO HANDSOME IN PERSON UGH I JUST-"
"Im sorry but now is not the time my girlfriend is in one of these rooms and I have to see her "
"Oh OK um she's in room 353 on the third floor" she said sounding disappointed
"I promise when I come back I'll take a picture with you" I said jogging towards the elevators
The elevator was taking so long that I said fuck it and took the stairs. I ran all the way up to the third floor. When I walked into the hallway I could hear Mercedes's screams all the way down the hall. Her mother was outside her hospital room with Erin.
"DADDY!!!" Erin screamed as she ran into my arms
Its been so long since I held my daughter.
"Missed you daddy!"
"I missed you too baby" I said kissing her and putting her down
"Oh Eric its so good to see you" she said hugging me
"Hey" I said hugging her back
Mercedes screams got louder and louder
"Go in there boy she needs you" said Mrs.Darby pushing me towards the door.
I swallowed hard as I slowly pushed the door open. I haven't seen Mercedes in 9 months. What was she going to do when I walked into that room. She was laying in bed screaming and in pain. But when she saw me her faced turned to shock.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ?!?" she yelled "GET OUT ! I DONT WANT YOU HERE !"
I ignored her and ran to her grabbing her face and kissing her. God I missed her soft lips. She didn't push me away her lips gave in to mine. That spark that I was missing from the life has finally came back to me my dream of touching and holding my baby again was finally coming true. I embraced her putting my head on top of hers.
"I'm never going to hurt you again baby" I said kissing her head.
Minutes later then doctor comes in and within minutes my baby boy was born. He was waiting on me. He wasn't going to come until I got there. Merson Lynn Wright was my child's name and I loved him just like I love his mother.
