TROUBLE IN GAMING

CHAPTER 2 - GAMING WITHIN

Where were we. I could see a distant light, it was the only thing that helped us see. Then suddenly, lights start going up in every direction. The place was just filled with lights. I felt something grabbing my shoulder.....and this time I knew it wasn't dad. So I kicked him and was just about to punch him.....When I remembered that it could be Tom.....and it was !!!!!!
So after a while of me apologising, we changed the topic and started thinking about where we were. How did we even get here in the first place. Wait a minute.........is that a....a.....
START SIGN !!!!! I think now I might have an idea about our locations now.
THE LIGHTNING BOLT SENT US IN THE GAME !!!!!!!! I was so...so........AMAZED !!
I mean, we were in a GAME. So much for kinect HUH ? Well I could live the rest of my life here until I thought about the consequences of it.......what if someone turned the game off ?
We would be gone forever !!!!!!
We had to find a way to go home.
Now even Tom started panicking.
So we started to think about a way.
While thinking, we saw some kind of a jelly man walking past. I then remembered that the jelly dude is supposed to be the player's helper. We went running up to him and asked him about getting out of the game.
Well.....He wouldn't tell us anything.......until......I decided to talk.
Well he couldn't resist answering questions to me. He told me that we had to beat the game to get out, but his advices are normally only given to virtual players...so we would have to give him virtual points for his advice, which we didn't have. Well, but you gotta do what you gotta do.....so I just decided to leave him hanging in the questioning area...or in other words.......THE LAVA PIT.
Now we knew how to get out. So I guess it was gamin' time. We went to the START SIGN which we had seen earlier and pushed the button next to it. I think we gotta tell you more about the MULTI - GAME before we start our adventure. The MULTI - GAME, according to its name is a combination of different games which you might have played separately. Each level consists of a different game. I think you get it now, don't
you ? Well so let's get back to the story then, shall we ?
After pushing that button, we were transported to
LEVEL 1 - A Classic - DONKEY KONG

So...ok.....It can't be hard, can it. After all, its just a king kong throwing barrels, isn't it ? Well when we got there, we then understood why it was supposed to hard. The barrels exploded when in contact of a person or thing......and were twice our size. How on earth, or should I say "How in game" are we supposed to jump THAT high. I wondered if there was a cheat code to this thing. So I started dancing like a lunatic.......until I remembered........That there are NO cheat codes for Level 1. So we started our journey got knocked.......started the journey again and got knocked off.........AGAIN !!!!!!! There was no way we could do this without getting knocked. So I decided to cheat the game. I would no longer go on the bridge. I would instead climb the pillars which hold it. That seemed like a good idea until I saw how high it was. Well, that was the only way, so we decided to stick to it. So then we started climbing. We climbed like no man had ever climbed
before......I mean LITERALLY !!!!! We were climbing like we never knew what climbing was. But after a few minutes, our efforts had paid off............We had finally reached the.........first out of 20 platforms. This plan was NOT working for us.
Well now it was really not, because it looked like donkey kong had just noticed us cheating. He was coming down to have a word with us. Wait a minute.......Donkey kong was coming down through the pillars. And now with no barrels or kong in the way. We could have gotten till the top in no time. I told my plan to Tom, but then he said that donkey kong could get to us through the pillars. So we decided to wait for him till he got on our platform. The only thoughts that were going on in my mind were,"Please feet....don't fail me NOW". As soon as he got down, we started sprinting as fast as we could. Yes !!!!!! The plan had worked, he was not climbing, instead he was chasing us. Donkey kong was slowly catching up with us though. I could feel his breath on my back. We were almost there....When I suddenly heard something rolling towards us. It was one of the barrels. Somehow, it had toppled over and was rolling down at us. Well we couldn't turn back now. When the barrel finally came to our view, we waited for the perfect time and jumped as high as we could....Yes !! We were over the barrel. The barrel hit donkey kong instead. But the thing that was suprising was, just after the barrel hit kong, we fell from our jump which resulted in a hard landing. How DO you even fall from your own jump. The thing we later figured out was, donkey kong grabbed hold on us just before the barrel collided, and then he lifted us above and so unknowingly, he protected us from the barrel. After that it was just an easy run till the top. After getting to the top, we saw a sign, the sign
read - CONGRATULATONS ON COMPLETING THE FIRST LEVEL, YOU MAY NOW PROCEED TO LEVEL 2
After that, the sign disappeared and the lights all backed out. After a while we started hearing some music, a type of music which I had heard before. I just couldn't remember what the music was, I knew I had heard it somewhere but I just couldn't seem to remember where. Tom seemed confused too. Then suddenly,
it hit me.
It was..............MARIO KART !!!!!!!
