Coley's POV
I took the paper and tucked it in my
bag deliberating in my mind whether or not I should be texting him.
I ran up to Hailey and Liz and they stared at me with annoyed faces.
"What the hell" Hailey yelled.
I was extremely confused and speechless but they left me no time to wonder. "You've been here for like 30 minutes and you've already had more encounters with guys than we have had our whole high school careers"
"I have not" I countered "I made eye contact with one guy and the other bumped into me"
"That looked like a lot more than just 'eye contact'" Hailey laughed
"It was more like true love at first sight" Liz agreed
"Well I don't even know the guy and I don't think I'm going to text him"
"Good because that Jack Gilinsky is messed up, he's a player with a different girl every weekend, and he ditches class constantly to smoke behind the bleachers" Hailey said. "He's in our history class as well but we never see him there. We were surprised he stayed through math class, which most likely only happened because he wanted to look at you"
"Yeah he's no good for you" Liz affirmed
Though they said all of this I still saw something in jack that I don't see in most people.
"When will we all just have cute adorable boyfriends that only want us and to make us happy" Hailey yelled as Johnson was slowly creeping up behind her.
"You never know maybe sooner than you expect"  Johnson whispered into hailey's ear. "Sammy is having a party and I want both of you to come as a thank you for politely dealing with my little sister" he proposed mainly trying to convince Hailey. "And I guess you can come too sis but you need to leave in time for your bedtime and I'm keeping my eye on you" he said and the girls giggled as we walked into our next class.
The day went along fine as did that whole week, which was somewhat surprising considering how I thought it was going to go. I saw Jack every math class which really surprised the girls, but he never really tried to talk to me, he must Have not liked that I didn't text him.
Finally Saturday came around and I was getting ready for the party. Since it was one of those parties that started early and ended late I made sure that I dressed appropriately. I showered and curled my hair, put on a thin-strapped blue and white romper with my dark grey and black flannel as a jacket and matching converse. When I walked out of my room jack had already left in anger because apparently I once again took a lifetime to get ready. That meant I had to walk seven blocks in heels... Fun...
As I walked through the streets I couldn't help but feel as though I was being watched. I turned around to see a shady yet surprisingly familiar looking figure walking behind me looking at his phone. Being the paranoid freak i am, I started to walk faster and more or less ran away from the man and towards the house. The first person I saw was jack who looked slightly concerned as to why I was running, but was too busy flirting with Hailey to try to dig any deeper into it. The next person I saw was Sammy who welcomed me in and introduced me to everyone. He eventually went off to flirt with Liz so I was mostly left alone in the large house. I got bored so I went exploring in the house. I walked into one room right above the staircase which I strongly regret because there was a very happy couple doing their thing on the bed. Anyway I continued my bored search and eventually found a room that I could sit down in without being disgusted. There was a basketball hoop on the inside of the door, and what looked like an amateur tattoo machine and a bunch of books and bottles of ink on the desk and in the bookshelves. Eventually I stood up and made my way towards the door. When I was about to open the door the man from the street busted in with a bunch of bags from Walmart. Finally I remembered where I had seen him last. It was Jack Gilinsky.
"What the hell are you doing in here" he asked angrily
"I needed a place to sit down sorry I thought this was Sammy's room" I defended.
"Yeah well this is my room and I don't really like having you in it so leave" Ouch... It took me a second to recover because I had never seen such hostility from him but I eventually just walked out to which he deeply sighed. As I walked down the stairs, I looked into the living room, and Tyler was sitting with Nate and another guy I had never met before on the couch so since they were the only people I knew, I walked over. They introduced me to the kid whose name was Luke and Nate and we talked for a while. The entire time luke was making me extremely uncomfortable with his constant staring. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and got up to find Sammy. Sammy brought me to his room which was actually right next to Gilinsky's  room and said I could sit there since I was tired. (Even though it was 2 pm) and I found a book to read. After about 10 minutes I heard a knock at the door. I opened it and luke was standing in front of it with drinks in his hands.
"Hey, do you want a drink?" He asked
"Not really" I said feeling uncomfortable
"Oh, well can i come in?" He asked.
"Uhh sure" I said and sat down on the bed, and he sat down next to me
"You know I have never met a girl as pretty as you" he said "it's kind of amazing how pretty you are" he said
"Thanks" I answered completely weirded out
"I really want to kiss you" he said
"You're not allowed to" I countered backing up
"Watch me" he said
