Jack's POV
"Nervous?" I asked feeling the heat radiate from her body as i held her cheek in my large hand. I just couldn't handle being that close to her. I have never felt this vulnerable around a girl, and I've also never felt this comfortable. But I knew from the beginning that she wasn't like other girls, she was different, special, and i couldn't think of hurting her. When i saw Luke on top of her i felt this rush of adrenaline, like i was so angry that i could throw a truck at him with ease. It wasn't until i felt her soft hand touch mine that i noticed how badly i was hurting him. "N-" she tried to say, but i had to cut her off. I needed to feel the warmth of her lips on mine. The amount of butterflies exploding in my stomach was enough to make me want to throw up. It didn't take her long to shake off the shock that i created and before long her lips started to move in sync with mine. Everything was perfect until suddenly...
Johnson busted through the door with Hailey, most likely expecting to find an empty room, but instead standing in awe and disgust as to what he just witnessed. His face went from disgusted to confused to angry, and i wanted no part of it. Coley got nervous and was still recovering from our short make out session when she said "Well this is awkward..." hugged me and walked out of the room."You're dead man" Johnson said as Hailey guided him out of the room. Johnson is like a brother to me so i could tell that he was quite serious. I walked out after them completely shocked as to what the hell had just happened i watched as Johnson jumped into his car and was very confused as to where Coley went when i noticed she did not go with him. She had given me her number earlier in the day so i decided to call her to make sure she was okay. "Hey where are you?" I asked "Outside, i had to go for a walk. I'm by the door now but i think I'm gonna go home" she answered"Can i walk you?" i asked "Sure" i met her outside and we started to walk.
"Can you believe that they walked in on us like that, it's kinda disgusting imagining what they would have done if we weren't there... And in your bed" she laughed as i looked away in disgust
"Yeah well your brother has been like a brother to for ages and I don't think he appreciated what he saw" I said whilst she continued laughing "your laugh is obnoxiously adorable" I blurted out while blushing at my sudden comment.
"You look cute when you blush" she smiled, and we continued walking
We were still four blocks away when suddenly she turned around and hugged me completely catching me off guard and making me fall over, which resulted in her laughing and then me laughing.
When she finally caught her breath (while still on top of me) she said "Thank you for everything today, for saving me, for talking to me, and yeah I guess for kissing me too" she giggled
"My pleasure" I smiled and flipped her over so that I would be on top of her in an attempt to get up but I ended up staying there because of her eyes. They interest me, so when I caught a glimpse of them I just couldn't shake the need to stare into them for longer. Thank god this wasn't someone's lawn... They would think I was insane. She stared right back at me, straight into my soul, her eyes searching mine almost trying to figure out what i was going to do, daring me to lean just a bit further in. I breathed in her scent and I fell in love with it. Once again she is so different from all of those other girls I've been with and I am falling. Hard.
"Do it," she whispers almost as if she were reading my mind. Then I kissed her, and though I still felt all of the butterflies and all, I also felt warm, and happy for once. I felt her smile on my lips and I couldn't help but copy her. She was just so beautiful. When we both stopped to catch our breaths I got up and helped her up. We walked the rest of the way to her house hand in hand and when we arrived at the door I was actually really sad that I was leaving her. She turned towards me and went on her toes to kiss me quickly before she knocked, but I caught her hand in mine and brought it to my lips I didn't think I'd have the guts to do this but "Will you go on a date with me coley?" I asked hopefully.
She looked shocked but happy. "Yes, anytime" she said smiling which I took as an invitation to kiss her again.
Finally, she knocked on the door and Johnson practically opened a second later, scaring the living crap out of me. She hugged me again and went upstairs.
"WE NEED TO TALK" he said and pulled me inside.
