Coley's Pov
I woke up and got ready for school. Track tryouts were today and I was totally ready I brought my running outfit and left the house. Johnson had already left with the car when I finished so I decided to walk. It was raining so I tried to hurry, but eventually it just started pouring and I gave up.
I was almost halfway there when a large truck drove up next to me and beeped. Scared that I was about to be kidnapped, I started to walk a bit faster, but the truck followed. Finally I stopped to see who it was and it was the bae jack
"Stop running and get in the damn car geez" he said laughing he stopped the truck and ran around to open the door for me he helped me into the car and then ran back to his seat. I was freezing and even though I love the rain, it was a bit much for me to handle at the time.
"Oh my god you're freezing come here" he said pulling me in close. He turned the heat up and kissed me on the forehead. "Tell me when you've warmed up" he smiled concerned. We sat like this for a while, long enough that we were going to make ourselves late for school if we waited any longer. Neither of us wanted to escape the hug but knowing that if we did we would be late I said that I was warm and we reluctantly detached and he started to drive.
"Thank you for picking me up" I said and gave him a kiss on the cheek as he helped me out of the car
"Anything to keep you warm and healthy" he smiled
We walked into school hand in hand just as the bell signaling to make your way to your first class rung. We got our things together from our lockers and walked to class... Math
We sat down next to eachother in the back and settled in. As the teacher started to lecture, I took out my book and started writing down notes, jack on the other hand, couldn't take his eyes off of me. I continued doing my work, while laughing on the inside and then I noticed Jack suddenly turn his head. Confused I looked over to him and he looked behind me at Johnson, who was glaring daggers straight at him at this point we all felt very uncomfortable and continued our work.
When the bell rang Johnson got up and walked towards jack
He whispered something into his ear and everyone's moods changed Johnson looked worried but protective and Jack just looked kinda moody but mad.
He walked over and grabbed my hand tightly and it wasn't until we were in the hallway that I truly understood why they were acting so odd. When we walked out of the classroom the first thing I saw was Luke, the guy from the party. I guess Johnson had seen him before he left the classroom and went to jack for backup.
Luke looked like he still hasn't recovered from jacks beating, but we all tried to completely ignore him as we walked past him.
"Hey babe how you doing" he laughed arrogantly most likely putting himself in danger
"I know I'm hot right" jack turned around with a threatening look in his eyes "You should shut your mouth and watch your back. Johnson is probably going to murder you before I do" as he said this Johnson came up behind luke and poked his back
"You're lucky I'm a good guy make one more comment and I'll bash your head into the wall" Johnson said in a joking yet scarily serious tone.
Luke, feeling attacked and embarrassed looked towards me who was semi hiding behind jack, winked, and mumbled something about how he would get us back for embarrassing him.
We all shook of the drama and finished up the classes. Jack and I managed to sit next to eachother in all of them and annoyed most of the teachers.
Finally it was time for my track tryout. I stretched with the rest of the girls who were trying out we ran for a bit and then went through all of the other trials blah blah blah lets just say they thought I was so good that they made me co captain.. The other captain being a guy who I didn't get to meet but whatever I'm sure he's nice. Upon hearing the news Jack picked me up, spun me around and then kissed me, because of how happy for me he was.
"We have to celebrate!" He yelled and called Johnson to set something up for the weekend. He drove me home and we went into the kitchen to study and do homework. Just like I said, school is gonna be so much fun
