Earth Year 3011, January 2nd

Thirty-Five Months After the Attack

It was barely over ten hours till they got to Sedronia. Mitsu was excited, he had been there before, Siasana was almost indifferent. She didn't hold any amount of animosity towards the Taggons, but she still felt weird. She had been fighting Taggons and Regored for nearly a year. Based on how Qhil treated her, she had the feeling that they didn't hold a grudge, at least not against her. That didn't speak for the rest of the Taggons though. Both sides had been fighting a war, and both sides had taken lives.

Siasana hadn't wanted to come to Sedronia but they had to, to get the Sibylline Blast Shield installed on the Guardians, then the plan was to go on the offensive. There had been several reports of the Tempest doing patrols near Elvara in the Higher Quadrant. Siasana didn't know why it would be there, maybe Faucheur was trying to recruit the Dilail for the war effort. The Dilail were a long shot, they didn't tend to use their skills for more than themselves. The Dilail were not useless in combat. In fact they had a force that could rival the Earth forces. They weren't prone to intermingling with OtherWorlders. They tended to be looked down on because they absorbed their nutrients and even breathed through their skin. It made them smell and since no other species ate like them, they looked down on the other species because of it. Their solitude might have made them a more obvious target of Faucheur. Going to the 'outcast' species and trying to convince them that way.

Siasana, Mitsu and Qhil were all in the cockpit of the small ship and were talking about what was ahead of them. Siasana was worried about coming across the Whist that had betrayed them. Qhil had said that if they came across the Mobile Guardian in space, Mitsu would win the fight. The Mobile Guardian would work in space, but its focus was on planetary combat. Whereas the Proto Guardian was made to be used in space. "It would be a devastating battle for sure." Qhil had said at the end. "No matter where the battle took place. But we are only looking for the Tempest, not for Otath. The Tempest is going to be in space so we will be at an advantage."

"But what if they manage to retreat to the planet?" Mitsu asked. "That would be a strong position for them and if they escape with Chris then Otath would have the Mobile Guardian and we would have no choice but to chase them at a disadvantage."

"I can't make the Proto Guardian better than the Mobile Guardian on a planet. It would change too much in the design. But maybe... I could..." Qhil's voice trailed off.

"Could what?" Siasana asked. She had gotten used to Qhil's trailing off and tried to bring him back. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.

"Well," Qhil spoke for a moment. "If I was able to make a smaller Sibylline Blast design Mitsu could use that against Otath. Since we made a shield against it, and they haven't. But the designs would have to be perfect..." Qhil trailed off again but Siasana knew what he was thinking about this time. Qhil stood up without saying anything else and went off to the room he had transformed into an onboard lab.

"Sia, I want to talk to him." Mitsu said after the door closed behind Qhil.

"Otath?" She asked. "What would you say to him?"

"I just want to know why." Mitsu said, he didn't look sad, he looked mad. Siasana had felt that same anger before.

"Even if he has the worst reason in the OtherWorlds, don't let that make you into someone else." She hesitated before wrapping her arms around Mitsu. They stood together for a moment in silence before she spoke again. "As long as it is in my power, I won't leave you Mitsu."

January 3rd

They were soon landing in Sedronia, there were no issues landing. Qhil had come out to talk with the landing patrol on the radio shortly before they entered the atmosphere. They were directed to a large building on the outskirts of a city. After they landed, Qhil excused himself to the laboratory and locked himself inside. Meanwhile Siasana met Qhuten for the first time, he was larger than Qhil and had a bit of green to his dark skin. "Welcome to Qronia!" He carried himself as if he was an important portrayal of their entire race.
