I didn't know exactly what I was getting into, I thought it would be easy, but it was far from that. It was difficult to do basic training. I was trembling because I was nervous I wouldn't pass but I was scared and having nightmares because I thought I would. I didn't know the first thing about fighting for my own good will, how can I fight for the world? Would I be strong enough? Would I be brave enough? How in the world would I be good enough to be a super hero?
All this doubt I have was setting me back. I pace back and forth in my military based room. This time I didn't have a two way mirror and I can come and go as I please, we have a curfew. I walk to the walk in closet that all Advanced Agents get. The door creaks and attempts to close but leaves a crack. I do a 360 in the closet of the same exact clothes. Light grey sweatpants, sweatshirts, black tank tops and a few pairs of tennis shoes. I exhale deeply and ruffle up my hair. I pick up one of each and put the hangers back on the rack. I take off my clothes slowly still wincing in pain from the bruises and scars all over my body.
I hear the door open and close. "Hello?" I ask softly. Standing nude in the closet putting the underwear on.
" Are you about to be ready to go in training," Andre said. I glance back and see Andre peeking in the closet. As soon as we catch eye contact he looks away quickly. "Well hurry up, now. I'll. uh.. I'll be waiting outside." I put on my sweatpants and put my sports bra on and follow my tank top quickly.
"Yeah, yeah sure. I'll be there soon." I stutter as I pace my breath from changing so quickly. I run outside and pull down my tank top. Andre is walking towards the door. "I'll be out there in just a sec'" I say as he looks back nods and walks quickly out the room.
God why is he so hot? I thought to myself. I put on my shoes and jog out the door. "Okay, I'm ready let's go." I try to keep up with Andre quickly, it wasn't unusual for me not to be walking by another person unless they walk beside me.
"Now, your first lesson isn't going to be so easy, it's about speed and reflex," He looks back at me as I quickly catch up to him. "Especially, for you." He mutters. I roll my eyes and continue on. I walk into the room with him and Liz is standing with her hand on her hip. Andre leaves the room and waits outside toward the door.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the bitch, who's always knocked out," I roll my eyes once again. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. I walk over face to face with Liz and she still has a little smirk on her face. "Are your reflexes fast?"
"I mean, it depends, I took a self defense class and had a little lesson on reflex," I roll my eyes with sarcasm. "How am I supposed to know?"
"Well, your sure as hell about to find out." Liz finally smiles. She starts to run in a 360 circle around me. "Catch me if you can." She throws objects at me.
"What the hell! How is this teaching me anything?" I yell as a sand storm starts to form around me.
* * *
"Now, your next lesson is about focus and fun," Andre says as I wipe sand off my shoulders and spit out sand of my mouth.
"Fun? I'm starting to think this crew, is doing this stuff to torture me." I accuse. Andre for the first time has a little smile. It makes me blush.
We walk to the room Jhene was in and it was freezing, Andre doesn't comes inside. He's posted at the door, I realize this is what Katherine was talking about. They are too scared to even face each other, not even when Jhene knows how to use her powers and doesn't think of it as a curse anymore. Andre nods towards her and closes the door and stands at the window like last time.
