Chapter Ten

Today was the day! Austin had told me that the festival allowed campers to set up at 10 a.m. and that the doors would be open at 11. I decided I would wake up at 7 so that I had time to get ready. My stylist came over and did a beach wave sort of curl with a little braid before putting on my floral crow. For my makeup we decided on light pink lipstick with a light smokey eye shadow. She also contoured my face and added fake lashes to complete my look. Once I looked at myself in the mirror I couldn't stop looking at myself. I felt really beautiful.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard the door bell. I forgot that Nancy was getting dropped off here so we could ride down to the festival together. It was about 9:15 so we decided to leave early and surprise Austin and his friends before they got there. We had a corner spot reserved that was big enough for my yurt tent and for at least 3 small tents to surround in case some of Austin's friends decided to sleep alone. We arrived to the camping grounds around 9:45 and 3 of my body guards started setting up the tent right away. Luckily Austin texted me earlier saying he would be a little late and that he would text when he was close by.

"Are you nervous Lily?"

"So nervous.. I don't know how I should act with him since this is suppose to be like a date type thing."

"I would feel the same way! I honestly don't know how your keeping it together."

"Just breathing exercises."

"How about we go to one of the food trucks and grab a bite to eat?"

"Lets just hope they accept credit or have a atm nearby haha."

I felt so anxious for Austin to get here. Not because of the date, but because I wanted to tell him what I have done for him. I hope I didn't go overboard with this. I just owed him one. We found a burger truck and enjoyed the burger that we ordered. Halfway through eating my burger my phone buzzed in my pocket.

Austin: should be there in about 5 minutes. can't wait to check out the tent!

"Oh my god"

"What??"

"He's almost here. Is the tent ready? oh my god do i look ok? I need to get rid of this, do you have any gum?"

"Whoa calm down, yes the tent is ready, you look super gorgeous Lily, give me that, and take this. I knew gum would come in handy."

I chewed two pieces of gum and we started walking back to the tent. I seen an old 70's van pull up near the tent and a van full of people started getting off one person at a time until our eyes finally met. And just like that all my nerves were calm and I just felt extremely happy.
